Fun little game! I included it in my Mini Jam 107 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
no way! Been a fan of your channel for a while. Thanks so much :)
Really enjoyed this, Curtains! I definitely had a steep learning curve, but the game had such an interesting mechanic for a platformer like this; really appreciated your instinct to to turn a slightly weird limitation into a pretty sleek and retro-feeling game. Thanks for sharing!
The initial feeling I got when I started this was confusion, because the screen was so busy (filling in the blocks might have helped with that a bit?). But after a couple of seconds, it became pretty obvious, and turned out to be a really interesting take. I love the idea of doing platforming on the notes of a song; it's very clever.
I ended up eventually not really using the antigravity much (though it's a great idea, with it using your score), because it felt like I lost more points trying to get up if I fell with that than if I just fell. This was, perhaps, in part due to it not being immediately obvious how many points you lose when you fall. Showing it above the character like with the antigravity might solve that.
Overall, it was fun and the concept was cool.
This is wonderful feedback thank you!
very good
I like the idea, and I get the concept but unfortunately, I found the game quite disorienting even after trying to adjust for a couple of minutes.
Hello ohcurtains,
I really liked your use of the constraint and theme. At first it was a little difficult to follow what was going on, but that resolved itself after a few seconds. It gave me Geometry Dash vibes, I liked it, great job!
I like this combination of the theme and limitation - nice and juicy too.
The first time i was like “what is going on here?”, being thrown into some random cubes like that. It took a little for me to understand that these “random cubes” are the notes being played….
I liked a lot how i can sacrifice some points to keep, or regain, my position with the gravity reversal.
Just like CriztiUit said, i also feared that the song would go on forever, so i second the idea of a progress bar or something like that.
Very well done.
Very creative game! Using notes as platforms + cycling falls is a really cool decision. Awesome work with limitation and theme.
what a neat game! clever implementation of gravity as well
I like that the game sends you right into the case, it was a little overwhelming at first. the music reminds me of classic nes era chiptunes in a good way but did start to feel repetitive aver a bit. they stylized art is simple and effective.
Great game and Concept.
Great game! I love the concept and the simplicity, the limitation is elegantly designed!
Looks really nice and plays quite simple. I was affraid Bach would play for like 10 minutes but luckily it stopped before I got bored. Maybe add a small timer in a future update to see how long you need to go?
Love that idea - thanks!
This was so cool!! Loved how the notes made the platforms -felt very polished /juice -awesome game -loved it! :D
Looks awesome and has an interesting concept!
Fun platforming experience. Missed the instructions on the antigrav the first time playing, but good fun nonetheless.
