How was your experience with Mini Jam?
We managed to finish it and we are amazed on how great a game with Voice Acting can make a difference.We kept on updating the game every few hours to keep a good workflow!! This opportunity was one of a kind <3

the best of the game was the voice acting. really majestic.
The one hit limitation limited the game to only basic attacking.

A really cool small RPG very reminiscent of early Final Fantasy games. Great art and music too!

Pros: nice retro graphics, good implementation of the limitation, pretty unique genre (especially for the jam), the game has plot
Cons: I din't understand the lore of the world (I mean where are they, and who are they), but maybe I wasn't attentive enough)

They are at the beach for a party(The players talk about that in scene 1) .
Some information can be found as the story progresses and some information can be found in the description too.
I wanted to add much more details but given the voice acting and the time limitation I wanted the story to gain a faster flow.

I had the idea roaming around in the mind and considering we don't get voice over games much in a game jam I made it. Once the game script was made I started designing everything. First I completed my whole game without voice acting and then we started with the voice over process. I assigned my comrades to different players and once I received the audio recordings I noticed that as we had recorded audios from our own homes there was a difference in the output sound volume. So using Audacity I bought every audio nearly to the same volume as others and implemented it in my game.

The voice acting really heightened the fun of the game, and I could tell you guys really liked working on this. While the core mechanic felt a little weak to me, you made a game that I sat down and played all the way through! That is definitely worth something in my book.

For what little time was allowed, the acting was alright; I definitely was not expecting to hear voice acting in a jam submission. All in all, the idea of everything having 1 HP in a turn-based RPG is definitely something, I kinda wish the magic system was used more; like, make it so certain monsters are weak to certain elements, while also having some mobs immune to regular attacks. Get the player figuring out the right way to win a battle before the party is all taken down at once!

Feels like an RPG Maker game, so it doesn't feel super unique or anything. Voice acting is a nice touch, but didn't add much to me :/
