How was your experience with Mini Jam?
Fun! Was a great time getting to work together with people in the discord server whom I had never worked with before, the jam didn't go on for too long, and the limitation proved to be both fun and challenging. :D

The game was a bit hard but I loved it overall!

I absolutely love the art, omg!! That was so fun! The story is so cute! I didn't expect that ending at all though, omg. :'D It made me giggle a bunch. I love it!! I was only able to catch 40 fireflies... I'm bad at these types of games... The countdown had me panicking in a good way, lol! It was great. c:

The music is so cute too, it fits the art and the whole vibe so nicely!! I love it!!

I love the music and the seagull character. It's a tale of friendship!

I seriously dig the art style. I can tell a lot of effort was put into it, and it shows. The story is great, the music is great, the dialogue is great, just wow. The fireflies are a little hard to catch, but scurrying back and forth fits the seagull character, so I don't mind at all. This was an excellent experience.

Quite the experience! :-)

Starting from the visuals, absolutely gorgeous (the fixed camera is a nice trick to have coherent art around the 3D environment) and very well crafted. The sound does the job, the characters have their background and talk to all of them is a game in the game so... To us, a great entry!

Very nice aesthetic, I love it. The story was very funny and added a lot to the game. Well done!

I love love LOVE how this game looks. I had so much fun just running around and interacting with the characters, causing me to miss a lot of fireflies. That's why the ending took me by surprise, the last 30 seconds countdown was really intense and I loved that! It reminded me that you do need to focus on the important stuff instead of procrastinating and seeking for escape in another people. Loved this one!

Developer

Thanks so much, it's awesome to know you enjoyed your time with it!  Happy to hear you also had a lot of fun just running around and talking to the characters, I did try to at least make the act of moving around and exploring fun to do so that's good to know!  Ideally I would have liked to let people talk to the characters freely without pressure (which was the original idea I had until I remembered that I needed to include the limitation somehow), but it made the sudden appearance of the timer more of a surprise so both halves of the design kinda worked in their favor. xP

This game have a great art style and is pretty fun I really love it ! The only thing that I would change is the hitbox of the firefly (too hard to catch).

Developer

Thank you, I'm happy you enjoyed your time with the game!  I'll make a note to take a look at the firefly collision and see if there's some more tweaking I can do there, it's possible they could benefit from their hitboxes being made a little more generous.

A rpg game!!! The overall art was really eye-catching. The placement of objects was perfect and so were the visuals. The color scheme was great. Loved the game!! Efforts of you and your team paid off in the form of this beautiful game.
One of the best game's I played in this jam<3
Good luck with the jam!! I hope you like other games in the jam too<3

This game is so well done

The artstyle is gorgeous

Bonus: Pretty sure there's a setting that hides the mouse cursor while screen recording

Developer

Thank you, happy you enjoyed it!!  Good eye too with the mouse cursor on the screen recordings, I was in a rush to capture footage before the jam ended and forgot to turn off the mouse cursor, haha.  Will make a note to touch up some of this footage along with a general update once the jam voting wraps. :D

That was a really neat little experience!

Really charming, love the art :-)

Very cool art direction with the2d crayon like animations in a 3d environment. Controls well too, but I don't think I could collect all the fireflies. ;)

Developer

Thank you, I'm happy to see you enjoyed your time with it!  Yeah, at the moment it seem to be unfortunately impossible to get them all (though there is a small failsafe that kicks in if someone actually does get them all).  The most I've heard anyone gather so far is 102 as of this writing, and ideally I would have balanced the game around getting 100, but I ran out of time to properly test it.

If I ever get to come back to this idea in some form, making it so all of them could be collected with practice and dexterity is something I'd wanna do. :D

Really cool game, I like the art, music and style. I would add WASD as an alternate movement option.

Developer

Thank you!  It's cool to know you enjoyed your time with it!  WASD would be a great option, if I can get the time to do a quick update for the game I'd love to add it alongside some kind of basic gamepad support.
