Use of the limitation
You can use the power of your health to shoot and double jump, i.e. you can shoot, which will sacrifise health and you can double jump, which will sacrifise health.

It's a cute game, by the way, covering in your shell is unreliable because aliens can push you, and i don't feel much handicapped for shooting like a crazy man
I'll fix the shell bug.

but needs some collision improvements like getting stuck in platforms if you walk into them from side or when you can move with the alien while on his head

Make sure to download UpdatedTurtleDefender and not OldTurtleDefender. The updated one contains important bug fixes!
Very cute game, and I love the turtle lasers of course!
The turtle instantly got me interested. Very funny with aliens. I though had a hard time reading the how to play. So i just gave up and jumped into game and understood most, so a fun simple game.
I fixed some camera bugs and some resolution bugs. Download BugFixTurtleDefender for a fixed version.

The turtle is very cute and I was surprised that he could shoot lasers from his eyes. Maybe include some tutorial text and the beginning. A soundtrack is missing. I discovered some secret techniques where I could sit on the head of an alien and massacre the world!

There's a "How to play" button in the menu, but I should probably just have put some text in the beginning. In your playthrough I saw that the background doesn't cover the whole screen, which I will fix. (My monitor is small) I'll fix riding on aliens too.
I think riding on the aliens should be a feature!
