I really liked the intro and the music in the beginning. Took me a moment to get the concept xD

Developer

AAAAh yeas glad to hear ! Maybe *a bit* too overkill for a jam but if you liked it, I've no regret :))

If I may honestly ask: ^^'
What exactly does / deals the damage against spiders and the following creatures?

Developer

I was not really inspered, spiders have 10hp and you see the number at the rigtht in the slots ? This is damages :)) But yeah, not clear at all

The presentation is amazing, the visuals and the sound design are really impressive! I also think the intro adds a lot to the atmosphere. I did not get very far though, since the chickens kept doing what they wanted. As a suggestion, maybe make the UI a bit bigger and explain what the numbers mean (I guess blue for health and red for attack?). Also, the music should loop, since it's pretty good :-). Overall great job, especially the art!

Developer(+1)

It was fucking overkill, I was like "Imagine spending 5 hours doing that, and nobody will maybe never notice it" aha, you made my day :D
I'll try my best to improve the general feeling and ergonomy of the game, Icons are confusing and not explained and yeah the song SHOULD LOOP so, work need to be done :))
Thank for the feedback !

Insane game, I love it. Unfortunatly because of limitation, it is impossible to get far (altar is not being regenerated). I managed to get 100 grass and 10 chickens, but then the altar always dies.

Bugs:

After you die the UI at the bottom breaks.

On late waves, when you have a lot of grass and chickens planted + all monsters, the fps drops (maybe because I play in web mode)

Improvements:

Make altar regenerate

Maybe make paths from where the monsters will come (like in Tower Defence)

The game has so much potential, and I have so many ideas for it.

I would love to plant grass on the whole screen to have some haha moments (unfortunatly grass is capped at 100)

Developer(+1)

Woaah thank you, really ! For this constructive feedback :D I'm planning a patch, I'm a bit late cause of my daily job but tomorrow I'm free so let's do that !

Yeah the same, I've so much ideas remaining ! Even if I had the time to add a lot I've felt frustrated cause of the time :))

Indicate where the enemies spawn is a really good idea, I'll add that surely. Also yeah the grass limit is not enough (+ there's a bug, the chickens should eat the grass till they're not "full" eheh) But I needed a fast solution to fix the exponential growing :p

Altar regeneration is also a good Idea. Initialy I was planning to add some blood powers, letting you uppgrade some features or summon like a "Blood rain" => AOE

If I make an about menu, I will credit you in for theses ideas ^^

Thank you very much ^^

The visuals are definitely impressive, with only having 3 days to work on this project. This submission though is a little difficult to play, maybe it's my lack of knowledge of playing these styles of games. Though it felt like no matter what I thought out I was going to not get through even wave 1, which is most definitely sad for me.

On the reload after dying the text at the bottom, I'm not certain if it is like that on purpose but it jumbles all together and it looks strange.

I really do like the procedural animation on those spider gunners though, not many people can pull that kind of stuff off.

Overall, definitely a good idea for the jam, just the execution could use work, but I'm certain for a large sum of participants that's the case, but do be proud of what you pulled off in the last few days, I wish you the best in any future jams or projects.

Developer

Dude, you made my day, thanks :) Welp, yeah I've overfocused graphics and I was constantly like "oh man a procedural spider that's fun let's add it aha" and then I didn't had the time to make a proper tutorial and fix bugs... So yeah, I'll do my best for the next one !

Presentation is amazing, the concept is interesting but I think it's hard to implement what you had in mind in only 3 days, good job.

Developer

Yeah clearly, next time I'll be more realistic and start first with the core gameplay ! Thanks for the feedback

Ah nice aesthetic and the limitation is pretty nice too. Cool take on it

Developer

Thank you :p

The art and music is absolutely amazing. Very fun once you understand how to play. With a bit of polishing and some bug fixes, this could be really cool!

Also please make the altar thingy regenerate, even if its very slow.

Edit: the limitation is failure... maybe don't add regen

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much :) I'll do my best to fix all of that . Yeah you're right, current it's badly exploided, the altar should have at least one feature, maybe the abitlity to cconvert blood into health ? I'll find something
