Cool concept of timing and turnbase. Jazz music is a very nice touch.
The limitations make me think about every move.
One thing, I felt like I have trouble finding the difference between the dark green or light green.

Thanks for checking it out! Sometimes the colours are very similar yeah, if I were to continue with the game I might restrict the colours a bit so it's not quite as difficult sometimes.
I'm guessing the colors are intentionally similar to make things difficult? I lost several rounds when I though I had the right shade, but was wrong.

color you have to grab can just be similar? sometimes seems to work.

This is a game of chance, not skill. If there was a wait button then you'd be fine. The game is fun, however it is a 50/50 chance that you can even end up underneath the correct bucket. Also, in any game making the wrong move can be your downfall, the Limitation is asking us to make games in which we are either literally (through game mechanics) or figuratively (story beats) our own enemy. This is a good game though. 6/10
You may well be correct on the skill vs chance aspect, I didn't really think the count through properly but I can always go back and tweak it about after the jam. Thanks for checking it out and your feedback! :)
I'm pretty sure it might be impossible to get under a paint when the paint is an odd number away since you can only move an even amount, if you could only move 7 or 9 spaces I think that would allow you to use strategy rather than chance.
edit: looking back I realized that changing it to an odd number wouldn't work since if the paint was an even number away it would be impossible to get to with an odd number.
