I GOT SO HYPED WHEN I SAW THIS WAS A SHOOT 'EM UP.

Super fun! Great concept, easy to master controls... a very welcome and enjoyable UX design.

Great job! Good music too!

This game was absolutely amazing. I couldn't find a thing I didn't like (although it crashed at some point, I'm not totally sure the purpose and it may be my hardware so no points off for that, just in case). The controls were smooth, collisions forgiving, and the difficult seemed managable.

Keep it up, amazing game!

This was super cool. Loved the weapon swap mechanic, felt like all the weapons were unique and had a good variety to them for different positionings. The graphics and bullet patterns were trippy and fun to look at as well!

Ooooo, Caravan shmup!

My impressions are that the weapon selection that was put in is very well-balanced: it feels like there's a really good mix of speed and shot power from the DDP-style laser to the nice Raiden spread shot to the six-way to the straight vulcan -- very good job. Enemy placement is very well-done, and once I got that the name of the game is to point-blank the hell out of everything, I really started to enjoy it.

However, there is one VERY important caveat: and that is that the game crashes when you die, which is a huuuuuuge shame.

Also, I agree with your focus on making a tighter game over incorporating the limitation in a shoe-horned way in a detriment to the gameplay. In an ideal world, both could happen, but I respect your decision.

Hey this game is so good!

And is better than a lot of top rated games in this jam!

The limitation is weak but overall is a very good work. I like it !

Very colorful bullet hell! Feels good to weave in between the bullets whilst having the choice of which you absorb.

I found it a bit difficult to see the limitation myself, but that doesn't subtract from this being a neat shmup!

Thank you for giving it a shot! ;)

I’m glad you enjoyed your time with the game.

I tried to incorporate the theme more directly (shot is last enemy color destroyed etc.) but I always found the game less fun and had to cut my losses after a while. I figured delivering a short, relatively tight game was preferable to a less focused but more thematic experience. Hence, the shoehorned parody narrative of “your previous missed bullets have come back to mess up your day”.

Anyway, thank you again! I appreciate you playing despite no cover image or manicured game page, there’s quite the sea of entries! I’ll certainly be trying your game out and I’m looking forward to it :)
