The game “starts” the second time you play, because the first there is not enough time to understand what you are supposed to do and collect all the DNA samples in time.
I share the same problem with the mouse always trying to turn the camera even when i do not move the mouse at all.
And yes, i think it is not hard to see it is noir — it definitively is.
NIce use of limitation. The mouse sensitivity was a too high though. The atmosphere was spooky. overall cool game
Im so slowly
I like how you used the limitation as bodies decomposing nice touch. the only issue I had with it was when I was walking the camera started to try and spin a bit to the left or right not sure if my mouse is the issue for that one though.
Yeah idk what's up with that, I should've tested more in the HTML build.
Interesting concept and realisation!
This was so interesting! I don't know why but I wanted to explore the environment more than I wanted to collect the bodies!
Very impressed that this was made within the time limit, great job!
I think this game is pretty clever! I like the premise and it felt like the bodies that were further away lasted longer, which I think was a nice touch that made the game more playable. Speaking of playability, though, the mouse sensitivity was extremely high and I found it incredibly disorienting and difficult to work with. I also felt like only being able to play the game once wasn't a particularly good use of the limitation, because it made it so you could never get better at the game, and the score you got while you were still figuring the game out was just the score you got. Besides, the limitation is also already used well in the gameplay itself, so I don't think only being able to play the game once adds anything to the experience. I do like how the game looks, though. The dramatic lighting is very noir, and I'm a sucker for games with funky 3D models.
I glad you enjoyed it.
I was a bit rushed towards the end so the lack of being able to restart was just because I ran out of time so I pretending it was intentional.
The mouse sensitivity was fine when working in unity but it got way higher when I exported it, I think FPS games just kinda aren't really meant for HTML but I'm sure there's probably something I overlooked.
Ah, I totally understand that! Solo game jams are super hard and I have no clue how anybody can do them haha.
