It's a bit buggy, but I love the ambiance of this game! The polished cutscenes mixed with the art made this experience feel very noir. Well done in 48 hours!

Developer

Thanks ! The cutscenes are actually a little trick : in evry building prefab there is a transform with a procedural animation on it (Dotween localpos z). Every time you go to a special building which is the new target of the investigation, a parking spot is created so you can trigger the event (interact), and then, the camera is moved to the prefab transform I mentionned and it follows the procedural animation. :)

We didn't animate each cameras, because they are 3 investigations with more than 12 clues at the total and we didn't had time to polish everything as we wanted !

You can read the comment below if you want to understand why ;)

The navsat-like assistant is a bit bossy when i do not follow his instructions, that not always is my fault because it is a little buggy sometimes — understandable in a 48-hours game, of course.

Unfortunately, i think i hit another bug at the end because i only see this:

(There is a bit more to the left, but i had to leave full screen to make the screen capture.)

I am jealous of how you managed to include voice acting. I do not know how you had time to create the city environment, the navsat logic, a good story, and on top of everything record voice, in only 48-hours.

It was awesome!

Developer

We're working on correcting the navsat system, because it's kind of a trick actually : an agent is spawned when a zone is reached, he goes to a goal and then we jave a list of all the zones you have to reach with the car in a specific order...

It's not optimized at all, so they are some bugs ! 😁

The city is only 1 building prefab, with 12 blocs, where one special building can spawn randomly. It's procedural so you will never have the same city twice.

In a near future (maybe today), we'll patch it so you can play the 3 stories we did in the limit time. We were not able to release them Monday because of the final big you screen, at the end of the investigation, that is blocking the two others !

We're happy you've enjoyed the vibes ! 😃

Yo loved how the voice actress sounded like Sombra from Overwatch. The art is really cool and the story progression is pretty good! Good job for creating such a big game in just 48 hours.

Cant believe this was made only in 48 hrs. The voice acting is so good

Developer

Thanks ! We'll upload the 2 other investigations in the next 48h, we did not succeed at put them all inside in the first 48 ... !

I liked the voiceover, I didn't expect that when I go backwards, he will start saying that I'm going back))

We've tried to cover all the situations, it's a little buggy as posted but we'll patch it soon ! :)
