I really wanted to like this game, but I had a number of issues trying to play it. First, the dialogs are both slow and not properly skippable. I died during the battle tutorial, and when trying to skip the intro dialog afterward I somehow found myself stuck in the battle zone while the dialog ran. After the dialog the battle zone tutorial played out as normal, but after surviving I was stuck inside and unable to progress.
I accidentally left an input in, if you press "escape" it takes you to an early test version of the battle. I think you might have pressed it! If you hold down space it speeds up the dialogue.
beautiful art, amazing Mechanics, Great Music, lovely story. 10/10
I think a pixel art font would've suited the game better.
The Pokémon like grass was cool but had a bit too high catch rate,
and maybe a background behind the text (the one on the right), would've looked cooler.
I'd always recommend a webgl version.
I'm Surprised you managed to fit all of that in 3 days well done.
I Loved the character drawings and their expressions.
damn was that boss hard took me a while, but it was super fun!
This Game Should Win.
This reminds me of Everhood, in both setting and gameplay. The artstyle sets it apart in a really cursed way, I dig it.
"No cookies but I bought 3 bags of plain tortilla chips to substitute "real food"" - relatable...
