Use of the limitation
The game is a loop - it's deliberately very hard to get the good ending the first time, but you have the option to play it again knowing things you couldn't have known in the first playthrough. Hopefully you can exit the loop the second time, but if you make mistakes you can go through it again.

Good game. My second try I was three mushrooms short. I will not be getting the good ending, but I did enjoy my time with this unique game.
Nice, thanks for playing! (I just checked the walkthrough and saw that I skipped a section that would’ve given you +3 mushrooms, the bathroom section, so I fixed it and should be easier to get the good ending now.)

Eheh, that’s one of the hardest puzzles. The hongo azul is mentioned as a blue mushroom in the library section, and in the receipt there’s a sky blue blanket, so the bathroom person’s favorite color is blue and so is the towel.
