What a bizarre game! Took a while to figure out, and once I got the girls and the toilets I wasn't sure what else to do. I ended up getting the cow slavery ending then.

Developer

There is a story going on.

A button on the bottom tells you what is needed to advance.

First you get 3 girls and have a scene with a RichGuy

Then you scale your business and get 1500 milk (again, button at the bottom tells you) and have a final scene with conclusion.

The reset on death did not seem to work.  I had very little idea what to do.  The concept was interesting but needs a lot more information.  A cutscene with a cow wearing a hat being like, ooh now I can get hay and blank.

Developer

Ok, reproduced it probably. Will fix shortly.

Developer

seems to be fixed now

This game looks like it has a lot of planned things going on. There's an actual dialogue system and story. It was confusing at 1st to figure out clicking on the character but you gave nice hints to start the gameplay, good job. But it got confusing again when the funny looking cows started to move and then later the game crashed on the part with hey (i did not even know if i was playing it right lol). I also wish there was sounds.

Thanks for sharing your entry. It has a lot of promise. I am sure you have a great idea here :-D

Developer

OOOPS! (regression)
updated. Seems to be fixed.

I wasn't sure what to do, but I'm still willing to give it another go if you can put some instructions somewhere :)

Developer

I've really tried to include stuff into dualogues without ruining the tone, but you can also have a look at updated TIPS section in the description on the game page

Ill check it out, thanks.

A good and solid idea with some technical difficulties... I enjoyed it eventhough i am not a big fan of the genre...

Some notes:

The text on each character did not delete and every new text kept going on top of the previous one which made a mess by the end of the intro story...

The cows move way way too fast... I could hardly catch them with the mouse...

Add some more explanatory text ingame... I had to play it 3 times to figure out what i had to do..,\

Keep it up

Developer

Hmmm... text not deleting is probably some compatibility stuff.
I actually had several friends play it to be sure it performs ok if not on mobile and there was no such issue.

It looks like variations in browser setups/OS-s do affect Godot in nontrivial ways which are hard to detect and debug because of their setup-specific nature.

One would think that converting to webassembly/asm.js should eliminate most platform differences however it seems not to be the case and probably it even adds extra factors because of differences between webassembly implementations.

It might actually be that plain Java games are a bit more reliable, so i need to look into more minimalistic options next time

Developer

One of the possible solutions to cow-aiming problem would to actually make them go FASTER but stay in place a bit longer, so that you can better aim even though tick time is the same (and thus economy speed)

Developer

made a try to somewhat fix the problem however cannot test it is gone.
Would you check if bubble problem still persists?

When I go home I will check it out .. it will be a few hours though...

Developer

Managed to reproduce it, although not with the first scene but with the second one.
There is something fishy going on with the pool of scene bubbles and I'm not really sure Godot behaves correctly, it might be an engine bug.

For example I've seen there residual things that are not nulls but also not sth else which is really weird.

Developer

seems to be fixed now

Sorry but I couldnt get to my mac last night to check your game.... When I do I will let you know....

This is the main reason why I didnt bother with Godot at the first place... I enjoy web games and it is still lacking in that area...

Could not play it.  It tries loading but fails with this message (Chrome 70):

Developer (1 edit)

Are you from mobile?

Submitted

Using desktop. It works in Firefox for me.  Thank you!

Developer (1 edit)

Also it might happen you tried to play it RIGHT the moment I updated it, idk if it might be the case.

Developer

if so (tried to load the moment i changed files) all you need is just reload the page (though it might not be the case).

Such an adventurous premise! The frog is very wise. I really appreciated the story.
However a quick restart button and a way to skip the intro would have been appreciated!

Developer(+1)

exactly my thoughts on the post-jam improvements

It's just I was dead tired by the end of this, sorry
Will be sometime soon, not too hard to do probably.

Developer(+1)

now there are reset and skip buttons

So nice!

Some more feedback: the starving mechanic is confusing, maybe there could be some more explanation about what does what in game. Also if the cows moved a little less would be more enjoyable overall
