Excellent game!

I like core mechanics and visual!

This was amazing, nice story that ends in suspenseful tragedy, the art looked clean, the audio fit the tone, and using the limitation as the game's mechanical concept for dashing rather than just having it be a theme of consistently moving all the time is very creative. The platforming felt really good too except when going through the upward section of sideways pushing gravitational geysers, as them nearly halting my up/down movement made moving up platforms tricky (ended up wall hopping along whichever side the geyser was on to get past them).

This is one of my favorites I've played this Jam, it's great!

Awesome feedback, thank you!

Yeah I did the same with that level hahahah things were a bit rushed toward the end. Thanks for playing!

I really like the use of the limitation with constant movement keeping your body temp high, but unfortunately holding down both the Move keys and Dash key at the same time didn't always respond.

The Dash key right next to the Move keys made it awkward and unnatural to control too. I would have mapped the Move keys to the Arrow keys too and the Dash key to Shift as well.  That way movement could be on one hand and jump and dash on the other.

Perhaps I should have signposted/tutorialsed that outside of dialogue; Dashing only works when the heat rating bar is full.

Yeah you're definitely right, I guess that's what others meant when they said navigation was difficult. Thanks for spelling it out clearly! Great feedback!

Really loved the movement, game felt super smooth! Would have loved some chill music in the background. Great work on this, totally fits the theme!

This might be Celeste...

Mayyyybe >_>

I'm a sucker for parallax. Felt like a cool (pun intended) Celeste inspired platformer. Looks great!

Developer

Hahah, yep - very Celeste inspired. Thanks for playing!

Very fun little platformer! I love your take on the limitation, it was very creative!

Nice game, the web version window size is too small though!

The game is good! I liked how snappy the controls for the character were and the level design was good. I felt like there was a bit too much talking though. Otherwise, good game!

Developer

Yeah, I wasn't cognizant at the time of how dialogue can affect pacing like that but you're right, I can see it now. I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it though, thanks for the feedback! ^^

Okay the game should be working now! Took a lot of troubleshooting but found the HTML issues eventually.

Sorry Bro but where is the player i cant find him after the Conversation

Developer

Could you see a background and particles or was it just grey?

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

just the grey , the stamina bar and temp

Oh interesting, that's the same issue I'm having with the HTML export. Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep looking into it.

Developer (1 edit)

Having issues exporting a working html file so feel free to download the exe for now.
