Pretty neat game! The camera is a bit too zoomed in but I've got a soft spot for top-down shooters. The music was also great. Excellent work!
A very funny interpretation of the limitation, good introduction and well presented. In summary, I liked it :) As a suggestion (seeing that you are extending the game) maybe an evasive or defensive area move could work.
Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed! I am not quite following with the suggestion, do you mean a move that dashes the player forward or shields itself in a certain radius, or another weapon like a shotgun? If so then those sound like really good ideas that I could try to implement, Thanks!
Could be a weapon that shoots in every direction (maybe just dashing rivals away, or killing them in a certain radius), with a relatively large cooldown. Or could be also a shield (some immune time, maybe?). In this way the player would gain some time when vegetables are about to take you. But these are just suggestions, of course ^^
Those are really good ideas! I'm pretty new to coding so it may be difficult to implement but I can try my best to make at least one of those a reality. Thanks for the advice!
This was actually really fun, the sound effects are hillarious :D I also like how fast paced it is, though it does feel bad when you are near a spawner and an enemy spawns in you, so i kept hugging the wall on the bottom in the end, i like how you tried to encourage going somewhere with the Powerups tho.
Weirdly enough just the second enemy gave the game a lot more depth, i should have made one aswell ^^'
I played for quite some time trying to beat my highscore, ended up on 1100.
Great submission!
Thanks for the really detailed comment and Im glad you enjoyed :D haha I did that same thing of going straight down when playing I probably could've hindered that by making the map bigger but oh well. Thank you for playing and amazing job on your game as well.
Very silly! I love the narrative, and I laughed at the Rome/Caesar puns. Delicious humor! Gameplay wasn't bad, solid take on the top-down wave-shooter. I wasn't playing with a mouse, but a touchpad, so I couldn't enjoy the gameplay fully.
Thank you! I will also be adding the phrase "Delicious humor" to my regular vocabulary. I probably should have made the game a little easier for circumstances like that, my bad. Glad you enjoyed it.
