I used 3 colors total: Red, Blue, and Space-Dark-Blue; Red and Blue affect the gameplay since you're required to switch colors around in order to avoid getting hit and to also fight back.

Simple, but very well polished! Maybe a screenshake or two could have been added, but for a top down shooter, this was great! Super clean, great music, solid controls Great job!
Great game! The gameplay is fluid like water. You can clearly see where the enemies and bullets are moving thanks to the simple colors. I like the music.
I think it's pretty clear from the title which game you were inspider by. The original is a relatively short game, but it has a lot of enemy variety and patterns that are very tightly designed. That is almost impossible to do in a jam, but that is what you should aspire towards, IMO. Your game is still very fun to play, but it's more like a prototype (which is OK for a game jam).
Highscore: 35700
Thank you!! Yes agreed, Ikaruga is definitely an amazing shooter and one I can only hope to match in polish.
Nimble little shooter, with a neat twist. Great choice of colors. Controls are fluid and enemy pathing is smooth.
It might have been nice if the red and blue enemies had different outline shapes, though maybe this was a deliberate choice.
Thank you!! Yes, that is a great suggestion to give more distinction between red and blues :)
Pretty cool game. Remind me the one we made (also spaceships and color based :O) It feels there is some things to polish but it is very funny to play!
Thank you!!
Cool concept but barebones. The color switching feels a little awkward and could benefit from using only 1 key to swap.
Yeah, originally I was planning to use 3 colors to switch between since i had room for it (which would benefit from individual buttons for switching), but since I ran out of time i had to shrink the scope a bit
Still, Thank you!!
I liked the core gameplay loop a lot! I know you said you were short on time, but the gameplay is a lot of fun! With a highscore tracker I could see myself sinking a lot of time into this game!
Thank you!! Yes, a highscore tracker is a fantastic idea :)
