Simple and good construction.
However, the small spikes are difficult to distinguish from grass and other decorations. If this is not intentional, perhaps the spikes should simply be made easier to distinguish, or the decoration should be replaced with something else.
This is pretty fun! I really wish there was a quick restart button, though.
Fun little game, I can't quite tell why the levels are changing but I like it, whether it's full-on crazy procedural stuff or generating out premade chunks it's nice not having to do the same thing over and over if I can't get through it. Wish it was a little more obvious from the get-go what the various items did without needing to sit through a tutorial.
I'm glad you liked the changing levels - I cam up with the system on-the-spot, and it wound up working really well (aside from me making the levels a bit too difficult). It's randomized pre-made chunks, but the items are also randomized, and the system ensures that the minimum "exit" of a chunk is guaranteed to enter the next chunk. I also wish I could have gotten away without a tutorial, but couldn't think of how to explain the dash control well. Thanks for the comment!
I really like the simple textures :D
cool artstyle. I honestly hate that frog enemy with all of my heart! In a good way.
Addicting game with a cool art style. I think if you could see further ahead it might make the difficulty seem more fair, but overall had fun with it. Just curious, what's your high score? I think I got 57.
I'm glad you enjoyed the style! I only ever managed to get 55, haha, you got me!
I like the art style and the 1-button controls. It might be more addicting if at the beginning of the level the player was a little slower/easier to control and gets progressively faster as the level continues. Adding point bonus items/multiple lives could be fun as well. Good Job!
I agree it was hard to begin with; great idea with maybe having multiple lives, wish I had thought of that for this. Thanks for the comment!
