nice pixel art and animation

Its a bit difficult and hard but the game overall is good.I liked the pixel art and main idea!

It's a difficult game, but I still enjoyed it. I think you might be able to fix the player glitching out of bounds by changing a couple settings in the player rigidbody; set collision detection to continuous and turn on interpolate. Maybe you already tried that, but that usually fixes these sorts of issues for me. I liked the charming animations on the astronaut, and the oxygen/teleporting mechanics work very well together. Nice work!

Just tried in-game per your suggestion and it helps a little bit but still fails due to the same reasons which it that the walls are set up with a composite collider which only has a collider on the edge. There are systems that could prevent or deter this, but I didn't allocate enough time to them such as raycasting, setting up multiple collision boxes on the player or designating the wall colliders by hand. But thank you for your comment and suggestion.

For me, who aren't especially good at platformers, this was a hard game!
I enjoyed the creepy music and the teleportation mechanics was a very nice touch! Although it did disturb me that i could pass through the teleporter (that it was a blocking object).

I never managed to get further then 3 levels up, but i would have liked to see the ending!

Added slightly different (just visually) html web version of my game

Nice concept and fun base gameplay! There's some bugs you're probably already aware of to work out, but i think the challenge of figuring out how to deploy teleporters throughout the level to get through it is a fun one and it was balanced well. The self-chosen level of risk/reward based on where you place the teleporters is nice and  I like the choice of upgrades at the merchant too.

I think if the teleporter itself was a trigger instead of a collider that would help the experience cause I daisy chained my second set to the first set and put 2 teleporters really close together, and then kept getting stuck on them whenever I teleported in between those 2 teleporters.

Cool idea, and good job!

I added an alternate version without the weird .exe

Developer

Please click the .exe with the name "Space Marine Escape" with a custom icon. I kinda rushed the building and somehow a broken default .exe got in there.

Well that is confusing. So I played it, couldn't get past the section with 4 disappearing green tiles after several attempts... After a while I glitched through the wall outside of borders, so not very good impression :( The art and music were really nice though, adjusted my rating.

Developer

Thanks, and sorry. Yeah, a big glitch in the game is going through walls before of all the moving/ disappearing walls combined with the tile map using a composite collider. I wish I got to implement a better system to prevent it, the best I got to do was make sure you couldn't place teles inside the walls.

Could not run the game. Said There should be 'Space Marine_Data'

Tried creating the folder, did not help... So that's a zero by me :(

You clicked on the wrong executable. Click the one labeled Space Marine Escape and has an icon
