This was a super fun little game, and quite a bit of content for a game jam game! Graphics were really cute, and the music was fitting. I pushed a baddie off a cliff, and I'm not sure I feel bad... Great game, nice job!
The game was good, maybe I spent more time with it than I wanted, but I enjoyed it. It has a few bugs but they make it even more fun and btw here is my speedrun so you can try to overcome me
Wow, that was so cool! I appreciate you playing and recording that!
I wasn't expecting that funky music but I loved it! The inverted parallax scrolling of the background felt other-worldly... but also made me quite motion sick. The presentation was all round excellent. Great submission!
Thanks! I'll make a note to reduce the speed of the parallax. I am sure that will help with motion sickness.
Looks amazing. Love the Spongebob font, too.
Pretty simple gameplay, but fun!
Thanks!
I liked the art more than anything else, the enemies felt unimportant. Music was interesting but didn't really fit the mood. Overall, there's a lot space to improve but for 3 days its more than good. Well done!
Thank! I appreciate the feedback.
I really liked the art and music! The level design was also pretty nice, but I did notice that the ogres didn't die when I pushed them into the spikes. The climbing physics and animation are also kinda weird. Overall I thought the take on the greek myth was great!
Thanks! Yeah, I need to make a climb animation. And I'll totally make the enemies die in the spikes or when the rocks slam down!
Really fun! Jump is a little floaty but the graphics are nice, the music is spooky for the season; and everything comes together nicely.
I'm pretty sure I also got a few enemies to kill each other which was pretty sweet; then I figured out I can attack them. But enemy on enemy violence and trying to push them off the map was a lot of fun.
Also if you jump against a wall you can catapult yourself, I did this a little far and fell into a wall.
The damage feedback mentioned in other comment(s) would definitely help a bit.
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!
Very good art, and music is nice. I think there should be some indication that an enemy is getting hit or that I'm getting hit in some way (change in color/sound effect). The music does get kind of repetitive and some of the walls in the game are slanted but still allow you to jump from them. You can also jump really high if you jump from the corner of a block or something like that. Aside from these problems, I still think this deserves 5 stars for everything, so amazing job!
Thanks! I wish I could take credit for the art but they are online assets. I agree with all your feedback. Some of the issues are things I just didn't have time to fix. Platformers really aren't a great short game jam idea but this one felt like it needed to be made.
Great art work!
Cute little characters ! The game was nice to play, I even found how to make a super jump using the ladder aha !
Thanks!
Haha, yeah. I debated on fixing that before submitting but decided it was sort of fun and not worth the time at that point. But I'll be fixing before my next update (after voting of course).
Prometheus is one my favourite myths. You integrated it really well with the pumpkin.
One feedback would be that the jumping feels too floaty for a platformer game like this.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Yeah, I’m sure I’ll be adjusting the feel of the mechanics. I didn’t want to focus too long on it in order to meet the deadline.
Broke your game... love it!
Thanks! I think. Lol. I am aware of a few bugs I didn’t have time to fix. How did you break it?!
