This game has a great atmosphere! The presentation is simple yet effective. I thought the walking speed was borderline too slow, but the immersive sound and the length of the game made it work for me. There were a few oddities with the controls (still moving diagonally when releasing a side arrow but holding a vertical one) which made the dark section a bit too disorientating.

Overall I really enjoyed this - Great work!

Cool game, love the presentation!  A bit hard to get into, but really fun. Nice job!

I loved this retro aethetic and the sound design!

I realize the speed was intentional but I found it ridiculously slow, but I did like your art and sound design.

Such a neat idea, though I was incredibly bad at it lol. I loved the spook and think you did an amazing job!

Spoopy atmosphere :)

I am pretty sure that slow speed was meant to be; but it frustrated me a bit. I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Keep up the good work!

Nice game, the graphics are simple but really cool ! (Are these the colours from the mini game jam page ? éhé)
Also, for the gameplay, I just found the character frustratingly slow, but I guess it's one of the mechanics, but else, the concept was nice and original !

Hey thanks! Yeah, I’m terrible with colors so I just got the colours of the jam xD. The speed is intended, as you said I wanted to be frustratingly slow. Otherwise It would be too easy.

It has a really nice retro art style! Especially with the pumpkin orange color scheme. The layout of the levels and interface were all really nice as well as the minimalist yet effective intro.

However, the character is really slow so most of the time moving to get the key and to the door is painfully dull. The ghosts often would hit me or I'd have to stand still for a while because I knew I wouldn't make it past them even though they were across the level.
This led into the lights going out and not being able to see the character until the occasional lightning strike that I didn't find too helpful. If it was dark and I had minimal lighting that'd be cool and all. But if I can't see the slow moving character I couldn't get to anything except maybe the one item I was moving towards. There's not enough audio features to navigate blind at least not for me personally.

Hey thanks! Changing the speed couldn’t be easier, but the low-speed was intended to desperate the player, hahaha! I agree with adding more sound clues when the lights are out, for example when you hit a wall. But scenes are super-easy to memorise and I thought that waiting for the occasional lightning was better.
