wonderful game, you did a great job, the movement is very responsive and it's fun to have a flock of penguins at your back :D

I like the art and the sounds, the controls are straightforward and responsive, the gameplay was fun and intense at the same time, being chased by the krampus and the poor penguin being rescued is slowing down, this has good replay value, overall I enjoyed playing! congratulations! keep it up!

Yea, I thought of making them faster to keep up with the player, but I thought it might make it to easy. Maybe it I add a way to destroy a Krampus to lower his numbers it could balance it out more.
Sounds like a good idea, or perhaps an obstacle that you can trap a Krampus in, (like a pit or a bear trap) which then has a cooldown after releasing the Krampus again.
That's kind of how the snowman responds. It holds him for about 10 seconds and reduces his speed to stage 1 if he has sped up at all. But I guess a trap hole could do it, then spawn him back at his origin spawn point after like 30 seconds.
i love krampus. he is such a good villain. all games need more krampus.

I was only able to save 3 penguins! Red Krampus made a mad dash and ate all my penguins! The pixel art looks great and it was fun running around trying to save the penguins!

I really enjoyed this game. I felt like it was well balanced. My penguins spawned randomly all over the map - so I didn't experience the bug that some users report below. The art style and the music contributed really well, and I would like to see this game developed more. I feel like you could add quite a few features to this. Thanks for the great game! :)

I think you posted a buggy version of the game as the penguins are only spawning in the top left corner. Took me a long time to find them.
Yea, They tend to spawn sporadically but mostly in spawn 1. I'm still new in the program I'm using so I couldn't figure out how to fix it XD Sorry about that.
