I have been wanting to try making an arcade style game for months now, so I made a one screen ZX Spectrum style game where you play as a bird who cannot stop moving in order to feed their children

That was so fun! Reminds me of the days when gaming was just so much simpler. Well done!

I really like the concept, I'm impressed at the amount of things you managed to it into one screen, Players has to constantly juggle between different tasks that keeps them on their toes, that's brilliant.

I didn't really vibe with the art and sounds though, mainly because I've never lived through those years I think, but I can appreciate how well you got the visuals of that time.

Amazing game! Very fun to play! Liked a lot the art style. Now my highscore is 24100, but i will certainly come back to play more times!

Very good game, quite fun, I personally liked the graphics, good choice of colors and it really looks like a game from that time

Incredible game! If I would be asked to give some feedback I would say you could improve your presentation (low graphics on the cover). It was a surprise to find such a awesome game!

It's fun and addictive

Very well done. The primary gameplay loop is surprisingly complete, between feeding the babies, protecting them from snakes, and defending yourself from the hunter.

The music and graphics are a nice nostalgic reminder of the early 8-bit days.

My one complaint would be that it took a bit of effort to figure out how to play. I know the information was flashed across the screen, but it was all too fast. In particular, I had a lot of trouble staying aloft until I figured out you could just hold the spacebar (don't need to keep spamming it).

I love you for making a Atari style game!

Did you notice how the little birds look like Woodstock from the Snoopy cartoon?

Great job!

Please, try out my game too! I will love to know your feedback!

Very nice little addictive game :)

A few thoughts:

-The instruction screen is complete but a bit too dense of text, it is a bit heavy to read. I think it is manageable to convey the same amount of information with less text and images

-I often die because I don't see the gun projectiles, they could be a bit bigger.

I really dig the graphics by the way, it is inspiring to see such a nice game with this minimal graphic style.

The first time I openened I was like “I hope he adds a loud speccy loading screen”. Yes! And if really feels like a spectrum game. Great job!

Can see myself emptying out my piggy bank just to play this in the arcade. Lol. This is a really addicting and well thought out game! Great job bro!
