How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
My game is all about stealing ducks from stores and trading them for power ups!

The concept of the game was cool, I liked the idea of the thief slowly getting more talented with every upgrade!  It does take a while to get started though, the corridors felt quite long to walk through.

Great job for a solo dev though!

Thank you!

Fantastic little game for one person. Well done!

Thank you!

Fun little game!
I like the pixel art style.
Some feedback for future projects, try to add more variation in your tiles, some areas of the floor had little to no variation.
But overall great job on the game!

Developer

Thank you so much!

This is the first time I created pixel art and it was very fun.

I like the concept and the gameplay is fun. Great onboarding of players. The theme is really well implemented! What is lacking is a larger objective. I can steal toys but why ? I can buy upgrades but I don't need those upgrades. Just something to consider if you plan on iterating on the concept :)

Loved the concept of the game. Although the first shop in the tutorial did not work the shop in the other levels worked well.
I was able to steal quite a lot but the time limit stopped me from stealing the rest lol.
Would have loved to hear some 8-bit music though

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback!

Because of time constraints, I prioritized other features over the shop interaction in the tutorial. Altough, you are very correct the it will be better if it was possible. Also because I made all 100% of the game I didn't have enough time to create a fitting soundtrack to the game.

Considering that you did all of this alone, its a really good job!
I hope that you work on this game further, would love to see more levels

Developer

Yeah I actually am working on this game  and tomrrow I will update the game with a final level and other updates.

Again, thank you so much, it means a lot to me

uhhh
Why does he not walk? or click? or..
Whatever I press nothing reacts

Sorry you have issue with the game. You can't move? Can you explain your problem?

You can move with the arrow keys or WASD and when there dialogue box you won't be able to until it is closed.

Oh yeah, managed to fix that in second run

I like the concept, mechanics you managed to implement, quite unique approach!
The only con for me - the pace seems to be a bit slow and stretched, not really matching the energetic vibe of the music, I feel like the default speed and stealing could be sped up

Other than that - great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks you very much!

The defualt movement speed and stealing speed are low to encourage player to purchase power ups.

In that case - understandable
In my initial testing I completely missed how to use the shop so I didn't lol
Have to take a second look

Oh yeah - speaking again or writing instructions would be very useful

Developer

Yeah you're right. I'll add another instruction other than the turtorial in the main lobby.

Thank you so much fo the feedback!

Replayed it, yeah, got the gameplay you wanted to go for. Nice concept, nice game, explored the levels a bit. The only issue - is that gameplay-wise there is not much reason to explore the game after you unlock the second level. Although that would probably require a big big overhaul, so speaking in the terms of jam deadlines - done quite well
Oh and that twist on the second level  - NOT COOL MAN NOT  COOL :D But that little trolling got me
Seems like it was just the shop in the tutorial that was not working . Maybe would be  a bit more obvious to let the player try it in the tutorial?

Good well put together game. But! It's either me or there's no sound in the game. Also, when the time runs out on level 1, nothing happens. It's really cool that you managed to fit the tutorial and a bit of narrative into the game too. But for the buffs, I think a bit of visual and gameplay showcase in the tutorial would be better than a line of text.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for the feedback!!!

Yes, I had little time to build levels so when the time runs out the door's glow turns red and you don't get the ducks you've collected.

Unfortunatly I had no time to make my music for the game (altough I'd love to), and not even time to add any sound.

My favorite out of all the games I've played so far in this Mini Jame Gam :) I enjoyed it, and I think that both the concept and the art-style have a lot of potential, and I'm looking forward to see more of this. Good luck!
