I’ve tried making 3d games for jams before and this one is really solid! I found my way out of the office pretty quick and explored, too bad you didn’t add collision to the ground outside lol.
how did you manage that? I see the door is still closed so that explains how you are not triggering the cutscene to end the game but how did you get out there?
Glitch through walls: I think when you turn your head you’re probably manually changing the player’s rotation instead of letting the physics do it?
Climb up in corners: idk just kinda jam yourself in there and you’ll move up
ALSO I think the point you’re rotating around when you turn your head is probably offset in front of the player’s collider?? Just a guess
yeah you got it, I manually set the player's rotation and position every frame, thanks for the video.
I fixed the bug and I added an invisible roof to the office just in case you find a way to climb the walls again.
Wow, 3D!! Looks great!
Loved fulfilling orders, and my walk speed was just fine! I think I couldn't pick the upper two cards though, that was a bummer because I felt I just couldn't win with some orders. I guess I just suck, buddy :'(
Thanks for the review! Yall should start posting your best overall scores so I can see how good everyone is at making business cards lol, I really tried to fix the cards not being able to be clicked but unity was being really weird with the UI buttons, should have just used the same code from when you click on the computer to use it since that worked all the time and was much less buggy than the UI elements.
Yeah, for my game, we realized the input on our PCs worked a little differently than that for the web version and had to make some fixes in the last 15 minutes. What a scare!
Definitely a lesson learned - test the web version earlyyyy
Overall a decent game for a 3 day jam. I like the "preapare the order" thing but it is a little bit confusing. (orders were not clear for me.)
yeah, the idea was to make it like an arcade game where you just get thrown into it and learn as you go, hence the repeatability of restarting the day at the end of the game, but obviously we should have made some sort of a tutorial given how many people got lost, thanks for the nice review!
First 3D-game I saw in this game jam. Nice!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to move properly :/
Uh thanks, you didn't really need to move you just needed to look around and click on things, sorry that it didn't work all too well.
Good atmosphere, however I don't know if it was my fault but my character salk speed was extremely low
yeah idk why it is like that on webgl cuz on the windows and linux builds you walk too fast lol, thanks for playing!
very good
I like it! interesting interpretation of theam. Cool :D
I liked the theme of this game, and the 3d environment has a nice polygon vibe to it. I think I encountered a bug midway through, because the time left stopped working and I couldn't type anymore and it just cut to the grab things from printer, so apparently I suck :P Otherwise the gameplay was cool, would love more variety, but time constraints are a thing :)
yeah we originally intended to have more possible conversations from the employers other than just the keywords they were looking for and also we were going to put whatever card you made on the 3d cards that the printer spat out but we kinda ran out of time in the last minute because the WebGL build was taking too long. I'm going to play your game now, thanks for the rating!
It is impressive how polished this was. Nice theme implementation. Good game!
tysm
I was constantly trying to press e, when i realized that you needed to click lmb instead to interact. It is quite repetitive, and in my opinion not really all that much fun. But it was polished up.
I legit just uploaded a fix to the bug that made you win all the time, I'm sorry the game wasn't that fun, and ill definitely be trying yours out next
it kept moving me forward which was a bit annoying,
i like the vibe tho and its a really good idea
did you actually complete all 10 contracts to fill the quota that fast? dang you a speedrunner fr fr
