I just finished playing through the demo because one of my friends was trying to convince me that pygame can create good games and sure enough this game was insanely polished, I was not expecting your writing to be so good and the ending made me yearn for more. Was the two birds with one stone thing about killing his wife and silencing you or was there an entirely different thing going on? Did Jim call the police after you left? Did your coworker from the office ALREADY KNOW YOU WERE BEING ACCUSED? He seemed not too surprised when you admit your situation to him. Thanks for the fun time and I really hope you release the whole script for this game or something to end the story.

I fixed the bug and I added an invisible roof to the office just in case you find a way to climb the walls again.

yeah you got it, I manually set the player's rotation and position every frame, thanks for the video.

how did you manage that? I see the door is still closed so that explains how you are not triggering the cutscene to end the game but how did you get out there?

yeah, the idea was to make it like an arcade game where you just get thrown into it and learn as you go, hence the repeatability of restarting the day at the end of the game, but obviously we should have made some sort of a tutorial given how many people got lost, thanks for the nice review!

Thanks for the review! Yall should start posting your best overall scores so I can see how good everyone is at making business cards lol, I really tried to fix the cards not being able to be clicked but unity was being really weird with the UI buttons, should have just used the same code from when you click on the computer to use it since that worked all the time and was much less buggy than the UI elements.

Beat the game without upgrading my damage once, I think you should change the wording of the upgrade that "increases asteroid coin value by 5" because I thought that it meant my upgrades would get cheaper because the coin was worth more, not knowing that it wasn't and I was just dumping all my money into a useless upgrade. Other than that I loved the beautiful planets and the one ability to click fit perfectly with the theme but I didn't feel like the cards were implemented much at all, also this game could benefit from a level select screen or at least some way to see your overall progression. Great clicker!

Took longer than expected, the red herrings fooled me ngl lol was spinning the painting and turning on the tv for like 10 minutes. Good game!

Uh thanks, you didn't really need to move you just needed to look around and click on things, sorry that it didn't work all too well.

game crashes when you continue to the checkout, also it crashes if you continue the dialogue past the "press b to continue" on the first section. Other than that seems pretty cool if I could get the game working, looked pretty nice except for a few floating graphics and the card to smash the sugars didn't really work, B did nothing.

yeah idk why it is like that on webgl cuz on the windows and linux builds you walk too fast lol, thanks for playing!

tysm

I couldn't find a single one of Grandma's cards but I did make it to her house, I think the audio was broken because the whole game was silent but other than that it was pretty cool, reminded me of a Poptropica story or an old click to explore flash game. Great job!

Your cats are adorable!!!! The platforming got a little confusing at some parts because of how reusable the cards are but other than that I loved the game and you guys did a great job, especially with the sound design. One last note, the controls page kinda gets messed up on the second level and I softlocked underneath the bath tub once.

I immediately noticed your game from the charming art but I wasn't expecting such chaotic gameplay, I gotta say its a blast to see such a simple top down shooter turn into a "WHO WOULD WIN? 1 MILLION BLOBS OR 1 CARD" lol, great game! Oh yeah I think I found a bug, you can gain points after you die by chance from blobs hitting your shield thing and getting crammed together so hard that you pick up cards from it.

yeah we originally intended to have more possible conversations from the employers other than just the keywords they were looking for and also we were going to put whatever card you made on the 3d cards that the printer spat out but we kinda ran out of time in the last minute because the WebGL build was taking too long. I'm going to play your game now, thanks for the rating!

Your game is fun and all but I have to refresh the page till I load on a fire guy or I can't progress past the first room, also I keep taking damage for no reason, the spinner guys attack all around them when they attack and I don't think that is intentional but other than that its really good and has a lot put into it so I liked it.

Amazing game! A bunch of the turns kinda jump scared me at first but I made it to the license in the end, very fun and enjoyable title and definitely IMPOSSIBLE.

Nice game, much easier to understand than some other games I've played in this jam. Maybe the one ability should have been teleportation with some projectiles that shoot out of you because having the ability to complete the game without the card ability just feels too easy.

I like the idea of the unwinnable game from the start from a game design standpoint and you executed it pretty well, I especially liked when the cards showed secret abilities when you decide to take damage on purpose. Overall pretty nice game.

Very cute game, I was kinda disappointed when it just ended after the first room but it is a cool concept nonetheless, perhaps you should make the memory game its own screen before you get put into the parkour section so you can risk your heath for more abilities on each level. The controls were good except that every time I dashed it felt like I was running on ice so I could never estimate where I was gonna end up accurately. Great game!

Darker game than expected, the bright and cheery colors and small sprites made me expect a happy game. Loved it though, great job on it!

tysm I hope you win this jam its so addicting

It took me a second to realize that I could put cards on people without sending them to hell but other than that I love the fuzzy art style and the concept of it all, works quite well.

is this the end of the game? This game was so fun and addicting you guys did an amazing job and this is the best game I've play thus far.

how do you play your game?? I tried running the exe file but all I see is this pic and none of my keys or mouse do anything

While I did enjoy the fast-paced gameplay, this game was missing the "one ability" aspect of the theme, and the files were packaged weirdly, you had two copies of the game in one folder for some reason. Other than that I liked the game and it was pretty cool but maybe make the tutorial a little easier.

I legit just uploaded a fix to the bug that made you win all the time, I'm sorry the game wasn't that fun, and ill definitely be trying yours out next

Nice game, I think the elements classify as multiple abilities but its cool nonetheless, also its really nice how you can complete every level with every element, you don't have to think about which one might work and which one might not. love the retro arcade vibe as well, plays a lot like the game Adventure.

did you actually complete all 10 contracts to fill the quota that fast? dang you a speedrunner fr fr

you can accredit the music to lynx, I am "Rhythmically Challenged", thank you for the kind words!

yeah def, thanks!

lol its adobe animate shrunk down to 128x128, thanks for playing!

yeah having two people allowed us to both concentrate on one thing really hard while the other did the other thing, thanks!

thanks! What do you mean by brute forcing the boxes?

it was only phasing in specific areas where the terrain was kind of weird, probably something to do with the height at which you spawn it, it didn’t take me long at all to beat the game and I only died once.

yeah cursors are weird you need to export to .cur or .ani and on my computer my cursors keep reverting back to default after restarting

you wouldn’t want an ugly wheelbarrow as your only companion right? Thank you

WOW I mean wow I like this game, my only critiques are that it would be better if you could control both players at the same times like fireboy and watergirl and definitely slow down the lava I could barely beat some of those levels in time it is brutal. Also this is unity can't you just change the cursor in the project settings? I don't know anything specific because I use unity but I've never really done custom cursors, when I google it the only thing that pops up is that little box I see in project settings to set a texture for your cursor. I can believe that it doesn't work on web gl because (as I have ranted multiple times today alone) unity is not built for webgl games. Great game had a cool puzzle aspect with the stone that you need DOB for and the water that you need ROB for.
