Congrats on winning!! :D if you guys are interested in the prize please tell me which channel of communication you prefer to see what's up
I loved the color pallete. It was very warm and inviting which was what the narrator was trying to achieve. I also liked how even with two colors, the artist conveyed the texture of the objects very clearly. It was just beautiful!
As a whole its really well done! Since depression is a dark conversation typically, at first I found the bouncy animations slightly distracting/conflicting, but as I progressed further I my opinion flipped and I think actually they help the serious subject matter feel easier to consume.
I had the same issues as others the first few tries, but finally got things to continue.
Great entry!
Finally got it to work! I did have to restart a few times too, I think I had bumped my mouse.
I thought the story was very poignant! What a great tale of how kindness and gratefulness can bring a person out of depression. Great character arc.
I enjoyed your pixel art too. Your characters and the walking animation was great. The only thing I didn't care for about the art were the "bouncy" idle animations. I know some like that style, but I just don't think it feels realistic. It also felt a little too lighthearted for the seriousness of the game.
But other than that, I thought it was enjoyable with a meaningful story. Great work!
When you say that we can’t use the mouse for anything else, you mean it: i almost gave up trying to start the game; it took me five or six times before i just clicked the button with care and it worked….
Anyway, these things happen, and i am glad i did not gave up because i enjoyed this one. I found the writing, in particular, very good, but i also liked the cute graphics. I think that most of us, sooner or later, find ourselves in the same position as Timothee, in that we are too focused on our not-so-bright circumstances and do not see that others have a similar, if not worse, situation. It made me think.
The music was, maybe, a tad too “high-pitched” for my liking.
I think there is a mistake in the third day: it says that the name of the lawyer is Léo, but i believe it’s Théo; Léo is the one with the sick sister, isn’t he?
I finally was able to finish the game, despite the mouse glitch, and I'm very impressed. The graphics, story, and dialogue are very well rounded. I liked the overall message and especially liked the artwork. Amazing job!
I loved this game! I had some issues with the controls at the beginning, even though I didn't use my mouse but I figured it out. I loved the concept and the art, those truly were great!!
Very nice game! I love the idea of putting 1700s people in a Cafe, it's creepy how well they would fit in (:
thanks for playing! :D
I tried to play the game, but it seemed to glitch in the middle. After I gave my money to Leo, the screen changed and everything was frozen. Please let me know if you upload a new version - I want to be able to finish it!
There's a bug that if you use your mouse for anything, even changing tabs or something, it messes up with the dialogue boxes and can't trigger the next one! So if you restart and never use your mouse for anything after pressing play, you'll be able to finish it :D thank you for playing btw
Thank you. I will try again.
