Not gonna lie, this is my kind of game. Gameplay is pretty fun and the artstyle is really cool. and oooh boy that game feel, juicy juicy feel...

The visuals are great. Not just the artwork, but the extra touches, like particles, and cam shake, which makes it feel so much more alive.
I don't see the theme connection, the concept is quite straightforward.
I got to the boss fight and lasted 10 whole seconds.
Game is pretty fun, I enjoyed it a lot. I didn't understand how to use abilities, but that's on me
Really fun game, even though I read in the comments that you can't beat the boss, I still wanted to keep trying cause I liked the gameplay so much. Well done! Not to mention the art style is very good. It's difficult to get your game art to be consistent, look good and quickly convey the right visual cues, but you've nailed it.
Boss battle was quite intense as it seem like it never ended until I noticed that it was displayed on the console. Always nice to see people making games without game engines.
haha, first of all. you are a pro gamer man most people didn't even reach the boss and you managed to tell us this. so apparently yes you are right. see im a teenager and it was 11 30 i didnt had time to playtest since my mom was pressing on me to sleep. my friend toben had coded it but apparently due to some accident (we dont know) it got removed. i will update the file as soon as game jam finishes.
Yup, hope you like the game, we kind of mess the winning logic up because we clone from github before I implement it. But in the trade off, we have infinite gameplay haha!

Scoliosy (the player) is a mild soldier in the Great War. Opposite to his mild role, his mind is a splatter of droplets of tears.
His abilities keep reappearing in front of him. Every time a shot burst through his ears after he use his ability, he recalls once again the other abilities:
Double shot: Shot 2 bullets
Pierce: His next bullet will pierce through enemy once and keep moving.
Hibernate: He will lose control over his gun to calm himself and heal.
His abilities are basically "lost and found".
Press R to use your ability, one at a time. The ability will switch after you shoot once after an ability usage.
W, A, S, D to move.
Use your mouse to aim and shoot.
R to use ability
Aaaaah. It's so hard. Really fun and addictive. The only bad thing I can think of is using R for the ability, since it prevents you from using the same finger to move (and avoid the constantly pursuing enemies).
