My Simon abilities are very limited.
I apologize xD
This was a really cool game, the puzzle mechanic is creative, sort of reminded me to Chants of Sennaar. Nice atmosphere, wish to see more!
I've been told about Chants of Sennaar before, I should definetely play the game!
Thank you!
Fantastic idea! I think being able to re-play some of the first puzzles would've life easier for me since I had to restart a couple of times (and would've helped me realize this is just English rather than figuring that from the comments lol), and it's a shame that it stops just when you start figuring it out. Extremely creative concept, well done.
Thank you so much superobot!
One of the best entries imo.
The light was amazing. The concept is very original.
I had to restart a couple of times since I missed what was said.
Ay thank you so much! ♥
Yeah I apologize, I need to make a system to replay messages or just attack the "listening" mechanic from another perspective :3
Aw man, just as i finally got the hang of it all my hopes and dreams got crushed, finding out there's isn't any content left.
I can very well see how this game would be fun, communicating in a new (not really new, but new nonetheless) language, although there should be a better introduction for it, for it was very confusing, but then again, finishing the game only left me for wanting more.
Exquisitely done!
Ayy thank you so much for your words!
I'm sorry there isn't more content, I would've liked to make at least an entire non-tutorial level
Love the little kalimba-sounding puzzle board you get, but I'm sad to report the second fox puzzle had me give up...
Glad you went all-out building something unique though, pretty daring for a game jam!
Thank you so much for your words ♥
On the second fox puzzle, he just teaches that you can break rocks using the "Destroy" command on the instrument ^^
OH MY GOD I'M AN IDIOT IT'S THE ALPHABET.
This time I beat it. And you you've beaten me ;D
Visuals and sound design are great. Creative mechanics and puzzles
I agree with everyone that there should be a way to repeat the fox messages. Also, I don't know if there is a way to sprint or not, but I think there should be one
Ohh right, I though about making shift to sprint but in the end I left it on the basic player controller I improvised, I take notes, thanks!!
Gorgeous. Stunning. Outstanding. Too small brain to get anywhere close to beating it but what I did end up seeing I loved. I really hope to see more of it, hopefully with some mechanics that will make it a bit easier
Thank you so much! I'll try to polish it out to make it easier, thanks!! :3
It is impossible for me to remember the figures
Anyway, the visual and audio are great
I feel you, will try to improve the system!
Concept for game and mechanics are really good! Art and sound design are pretty good as well. Though I must agree with others that this game is too hard without ability to repeat order of symbols. Good job!
Thank you! I agree, I'll look into polishing the system in the future :]
I'm glad I read the comment that pointed out the symbols were letters. I was trying to memorize them by only sound at first and it was really difficult after the first one. After I knew to look at them as letters it was a lot easier (though it would be nice if the messages repeated after a while if you didn't get it the first time).
Really unique concept. I can imagine all kinds of interesting puzzles you could make with this.
I'm glad I added the symbols then because the original plan was to represent each letter just with a color and a sound 😅
I have a few cool ideas for puzzles already! 👀
Thank you for the comment!
ARE YOU READY? this is a cute game, I wish the gargoyle had a response for if you say no.
😭 Should have done that!
Thank you!
There should be a way to reproduce what the fox says, i reached the point where i have a book and can click a button at the bottom to make any sound but at that point it was too hard and i had to restart sometimes, also the collision of the crystals are a little weird but aside from that the idea is cool, good job at finishing the game on time for the gamejam.
Thank you so much! I will look into making a way to check the messages again.
I didn't expect the difficulty to be this high so its pretty interesting to see peoples comments, I'll also think a bit more about the UX :P
I love the art style, and I could see the music puzzles being pretty interesting, however I would really like a way to repeat the messages, but I saw that someone else already mentioned it haha.
Just mentioning a bug since other people may not encounter it, I believe the game is rendering based on pixel count, so on bigger screens the scaling is a bit off. Either way great work!
Hey! Thanks for checking the game out!
I've already taken notes and will for sure make a way for people to reproduce the messages back or just use messages that doesn't leave the scene :D
Also you're right, I didn't see this happen before so might have somethign to do with the pixel perfect camera. Will take a look!
Cute game, the visuals are insanely good, the fox puzzle was annoying tho
Thank you! Sorry for the fox puzzle tho
Very cool idea, it's a little difficult to figure out though, especially since you only see the fox say it once
If anyone is stuck, Spoiler alert:
The sounds and symbols are letters, you need to repeat/type out wordsThank you so much! I really didn't think this puzzle would be a problem but looking back I should've made a way to replay the message. Sorry!
liked the concept! too big brain for me though, i couldn't get past the second puzzle :(
Thank you! Seems like I understimated the complexity of the puzzle. This is what I get for not having someone else to playtest the game! 😅
