I think this concept has a lot of potential! And I liked the shaky pseudo-3D art style! I think a little more "gamification" would go a long way here - like adding a lose condition and increasing the player's speed as they accumulate points, for example. Very cool though.

I really like the simplicity of this, and how dynamic the visuals are

I'm a big fan of skifree so I was excited to see your entry! Really cool stuff you accomplished with the restricted palette and resolution! I loved the trail effect and the tramway cables. I think the player could be sped up a little bit, and maybe a bit more stabilization in the camera (less shakiness) would add a lot to the feeling of speed. Great job!

Classic idea, but it needs a lot of work: the visual is too shaky, which can be fine for the trees, as they are moving, but is strange for the main character, which stands still at the center of the screen. There is no acceleration, which makes the game boring really fast, and you can't lose, which also makes the game boring. The camera is also centered on the player, which can be fine in some situations, but is just strange if you only go in one direction, as half of the screen is wasted by the terrain you already passed, and it's really difficuly to see where you are going. It needs some work to be improved, but it's an interesting game for a jam with wuch limitations.

Youre completely right, thanks for the fair criticism, Ill work on it!

The core concept of this is pretty neat, I think; I like the slaloming, and the idea that the default direction of progress is towards the bottom right. These both give a sense that you're actually on a hillside moving downwards in the way that a vertical game wouldn't, and this is what makes it feel more realistic than Horace Goes Skiing. However, points lost for adherence to restrictions; the heavy "thunk" sound when hitting a tree is something that I doubt the Nokia 3310's speaker could produce, and the howling wind is definitely not something it could :-)

I'm not sure how the game's meant to end? I collected many circles (and missed even more), and just... kept skiing downwards. I even reached the end of the world (or perhaps the edge of the mountain) over on the right. Is there an ending that I missed, or is it intended as something like an endless runner? It would be useful to have some notion of a target to be reached, or a way to end; maybe to collect twenty things, or to accelerate until uncontrollable, or to lose a life every time you hit a tree, or something.

This game is cool, are you going to continue developing it? Would be nice if the camera was a little more dynamic though so you could see ahead of you easier, I found that the circles appeared too quick for me to grab them sometimes
