Great job submitting a game! I had a lot of fun playing this! It offers a great balanced challenge where you don't want to give up until you get it. The game restarting itself makes it easy to keep going. Often when the level restarted after death it seemed like the filler doesn't get reset all the way or starts in a different position which threw me off a few times. Manually restarting with R seemed to fix it. There might've been one level where I noticed it more but I can't remember which. That being said I love the personality given to the filler. Feels like a shark at the start and then toys around with you until it finally decides to kill. The last level the jumps were pretty tricky trying to fit into those tiny spaces but I got it down after a bit. Loved the game overall and the sound takes it up a notch! Thanks for participating!
thanks for playing and also for hosting this Jam! I had a lot of fun creating this, and I'm glad you liked :3
The filler is, like the player, upgraded in some levels. It gains the ability to jump walls, so maybe this is what gives it some personality.
About the bug you found, strange... The function to reset the level manually and when the player is killed is the same... I will have to look into that. Well, more bugs to fix later XD
Cute minimalist game. 28 deaths (at least I think that was an 8), 2:43. Kind of a ‘fail and adapt’ thing as you don’t always know what needs to be done until you know when and where it’s going to fill – I wonder giving the player more advance information somehow to react to would be better, or if that would just be a different kind of game entirely?
I did seem to cheese a couple levels by jumping right as they started though!
Yes, this is one of these games where you die, memorize the pattern and try again and again.
That's a good question though. Maybe freezing the game when a level starts so that the player can analyze the level before starting the level could help without compromising the experience much. Maybe I'll implement after the judges rate all the submissions. I also wanna create more levels later.
About the font: yeah, I need to change to one that's better for displaying numbers.

Again, thank you for playing!
Challenging game! I included it in my Nokia 3310 Jam 4 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Oh! Thanks for playing and reviewing it! A shame that you couldn't get past level 7. I have to remake some levels to tone down their difficulty.

This is a fun challenge!
Glad you liked!
77 deaths, but it was fun! Challenging with the speed, but the controls feel good. Well done!
Thanks for playing! Glad you liked, and nice number of deaths for a first run.
62 deaths... fun but frustrating game :D
Reminded me of SuperMeatBoy... Well done!
Thanks :3
Also, nice number of deaths for a first run. Well done!
