Use of the theme
I wanted to conjure a sexy lil somethin' with the nostalgic chill of Windows 95 Hearts, Solitaire, Minesweeper, and the like. Cozy outfits as armor were also planned for the opponent(s). (Multiple opponents were also planned.) But best laid schemes o' mice and men. Obviously uses cards and succubi for the secondary themes. I suppose you could consider magical shibari a form of hypnotism, but I think we can all agree that that's a stretch.

I WILL NOT SERVE, SUBMIT TO, NOR DEPEND UPON THE ROBOTS. NO AI INVOLVED WHATSOEVER.

Additional notes
I hope you enjoy! The gameplay is very basic, and fairly easy, and would benefit from the complexity I would've loved to have had time for, but hopefully it's still satisfying for a minute or two. =)

Would you like your game to be featured in a compilation video of the Game Jam?

Yes

The game will appear in the compilation video.

5 stars across the board from me. Simple but engaging game rules paired with the gorgeous art make this my favourite entry so far!

I return the well polished game words back to your game.
As you surely know i have complains with the randomization of the game, but nothing to worry about, it could be a complete mess or you can be incredible lucky.

I like the simplicity of this game for one big reason, this kind of games are to collect images, so my biggest complain is there should be more sucubi as rewards for surpassing levels, i know this mean a lot of work, but main mechanics are already there and this kind of rewards is what most players are looking after, anyway.

Congratulations!

Nice game idea and great art!
I agree that a random can just screw you over if you don't draw a candle cards (or right candle cards). And a decision making is somewhat simple, since you always want to play candle cart, you always want to play a binding card that binds zones you already bound and you never want to play a binding card to an uncandled zone if you have other choice.

But if you are going to expand this idea, I think this would be a great and really unique card game!

Amazing game-I really enjoyed it! It did take me a few tries to work it out, but (I think?) I've got it ^^

I love the illustration too, especially how the cards translated to the demon!

Awesome job. Gorgeous artwork and animations! I was a little confused what the cards do at first, but not too hard to figure out. The gameplay is a little bit too simple to be fun for me, BUT still the programming is solid and well done for what there is! I still played for a good while. Having not used AI is a bonus for me too.  Very nice!

Thank you so much, Lost!  I really appreciate your thoughts on it, and I totally agree on the gameplay.  It's like minesweeper with only 7 squares. =)  I decided to focus on getting it polished and robust and sexy for the game jam, but it would super need more layers of gameplay complexity to be a real game.  Loop's just too simple and repetitive.

Amazing work! I didn't quite understand the system fully but i felt I got a sort of intuitive sense to it after a while? Idk but I definitely enjoyed it + the visuals are sooooo good with the FX and character art. Amazing work! :D

Thank you so so much!  I'm on this kick playing UFO50, really enjoying all these little games that just sort of leave you to figure them out, rather than teaching you.  I tried to give some tool tip info, but leave you to figure it out.   I'm glad you sort of found the groove intuitively.

Probably my favorite entry this year. Lovely art, and really slick interactions. Especially the particle effects on the win phase :) Absolutely well done!

I take it as really high praise, thank you so so much for saying so, Gecko!  I'm really excited to see yours too when I have the brain power.  I avoided the WIP builds to save myself the surprise! =)
