I hate precision platformers, jump king made a month of my life miserable.
Its a fun game, shame yall didnt have enough time to finish it, if the levels were bigger it will be a banger, same thing as if yall add a "slide" material so even if u get to the platform u can still fall if u dont manage ur speed. Idk, ideas.
Maybe was cause of the time limit but it doesnt seem like the right animation is working, its allways walking to the left.
Was rly fun tho, but fuck precision platfomers (with love).
Thank you so much! In fact we can't do the correct animation because of time, but now we intend to update the game to be a better one! Thank you so much for the comment and hope you had fun playing it
wtf?
Found a bug: if you have a skill issue music will stop.
Now that I think about it, I don't think I looped the background music, I was just so used to getting through the levels I haven't noticed it. Thanks for pointing it out!
Realy nice game ! Eeminds me of jump king, the way you have to prepare the direction of your jumps before actualy jumping
Thank you! The main inspiration was actually Jump King, and we wanted to add some rogue-like features, but we didn't manage to, but still glad with what we could accomplish.
Very funny game, the frog is hilarious!
My big complain is the level where you have to do a high jump to a moving platform you can't see, so you don't know when to jump properly, missing that jump is instant retry because the lava gets you. Other than that, I had fun even with the difficulty controlling the frog jump.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, that mix with the high jump + moving platform got a little weird, both because you can't really see the platform above, just slightly a moment before you land on the mushroom, and because it's too early in the level, so you don't have enough time to take a peek before the lava gets to you. Room to improve, I guess. But glad you still enjoyed it!
Cool vertical frog platformer! I enjoyed playing it and I finished all 3 levels? The controls were very sensitive and is probably the area which needs the most work since this is a platformer. It made completing the levels challenging. I am sure that you learnt a lot about Unity while making this game, it's very well done for the tight time-frame we had. Good job!
It was somewhat of a challenge to manage the balance between the right movement/jump speed and the level design, plataform distance, speed of movement, etc. Still, thanks for the nice words! We managed to learn a lot, both about Unity and even coding for games, since most of our experience was with web development, which is still in C#, but very different.
