Superb Tool

It can be used for Level Design and Visualization

As a suggestion you need to make it so that the cam moves as long as WASD keys are pressed

Developer

thanks :) (and yes I should havd added continuous and smooth) scrolling. I would have added the former if I had got round to implementing the smooth scrolling. I'll add it to a post jam release!

Very interesting, took me a while to figure out how the tool/game(?) works. I think it would've been more easier just to select the tool and then paint away! Anyway good work non the less!

Developer

yeah the paint mechanics are a bit funky! A direct paint of the objects/ground typed on the world, probably would have worked better.

I mainly like the concept you've got going.  Not really sure what to do with it in it's current state, but it's very interesting the mechanics you've got so far.  And I'm not sure why, I didn't like the graphics too much at first, but they've grown on me.  It's definitely unique, good job.

Developer

graphics could (and should) definitely be better, but as they are they taxed my pixel art ability to it's limit!

And you are right that it really doesn't have much focus or much to do! Really it's just a collection of things I fancied playing with over the 2 weeks :)

I wouldn't even say they need to be improved, it's just unusual, which actually gives it some interest.  It all has a particular style, and that's really the important part, visually.

Wow, probably the most unique submission. Wouldn't have thought of making a tool. Excellent work!

Accidentally turned the whole world into a wheat field, 10/10

Ran this on my windows VM, ran well but a native linux port would be cool

Developer(+1)

Shouldn't be too hard given pge should be  mostly agnostic to the os, beyond lack of linux os to test it out here

very cool! you should make the minimap display sideways so it is less confusing when I move around :D

Developer

yeah the fact the mini map is not isometric can be a bit confusing, there was a mode where wsad moved the view as seen via thd mini map but I didn't expose it I am affraid

Pretty good. The graphics are amazing and the controls are pretty good. This is a sandbox so I can’t complain about the lack of an end goal. However, the only complaint I do have is that there is no sound or ambiance.

thanks Logan! Yes sounds were on my todo list, I just always found something I was more interested implementing or tweaking over the time period. ;)
