Things I liked:

Movement:

Movement felt very good, gliding across the floor and bouncing around was very fun.

Level design:

The subtle design of the levels was very cool.

Level editor:

A very unexpected feature, but impressive, nonetheless.

In-game tutorial:

Always nice to have one.

Things I disliked:

The difficulty:

The difficulty seemed way too high. The only way I found to defeat the shadow was to run with the fireball, and I couldn't defeat the jetpack guy.

Synopsis:

A very interesting game with really neat movement, but with serious difficulty.

Thanks for your entry. :)

Help, I can't progress. Later I spotted in comments one person's stream, and in it he just went through the floor at place where arrows point down but I can't do that, the floor is pretty much solid and I'm stuck.

Did you try reloading the page or running it in another browser?

I’m not sure if I just completely missed where I was supposed to go or do, but, sadly, I wasn’t able to progress very far in the game at all.

I do like the inclusion of the game over screen texts, but, the one and only enemy I was ever able to encounter was the shadow enemy and it was WAY over powering. Again, I’m not sure if I missed a path I was supposed to follow first, but I only ever had the fire ball spell and the shadow always spawned right on top of me, damaging me before I could even react to it.

Additionally, not sure if this is really the intent, but the fire ball projectiles travel at the same speed as the player. This felt very strange.

I feel this could have been a fun time, but I had no clue as to how to deal with the shadow enemy at all which just made it nearby impossible to progress.

If you’re interested is seeing the issues I was encountering, I played this game during a live stream.

Hi! Cool, thanks for playing! Yeah, the fireball should maybe travel faster than the player and maybe i'll adjust that after the voting ends :)

I watched the stream and it seems you're panicking a lot when the enemy apears and kind of just stand in place instead of moving outside of the shadows attack range. He only does damage for the 3-4 frames he's completely visible and doesn't move once he starts his animation so you should be able to outrun him once he appears. One way to cheese him would be to just run back and forth on the floor with a fireball on top of the player

That's not very constructive.. You're saying there are "some bugs" in my game, then don't mention what they are. What about the wall jumping do you feel is a bug?

Hi!  Can you add a list of credits to the itch.io page for this game?

I see that the game has a credits page available from the main menu which is great, but the rules of the Jam ask submissions to have BOTH an in-game credits scene and a list of credit on its itch.io page.

Developer

Hi! Yes! Sorry I missed that, it's updated now

No worries, thanks for taking the time to do this!
