Loved the use of a conversation with a child as a vehicle for the story; their dialogue felt very true on both parts.

I feel like I need a shower now. In acid. I hope that's the feel you were going for because eeugh. A very well done work that really captures the dark horror of indoctrination and how easy it is to persuade good people to do bad things with a clean conscience by shrouding the whole thing in divine light.

The foreboding opening leads well into a scene that starts tender and then distorts harrowingly towards ideological indoctrination.  Very good deep-seated horror of what should be a loving relationship being twisted to serve dogma.  (And taken with the title...)

I really enjoyed this one - very clear and well-done, with dialogue that flows and feels natural!
