Very good!
One nitpick I had though is that I found the modern military terminology a bit at odds with the fantasy setting. For a bit I thought this was about the HDF and the Saurian Starhost. But on the other hand, it does accentuate the differences between the two factions.

This was very well done, and I think will easily prove to be the best exploration of the "horrors of war" and "fighting for the wrong side" themes that have been so popular. The work had depth and the characters were well-drawn. I especially liked the use of the relationship between Sergeant Indol and the narrator to highlight the raw greed that underlies colonialism's many evils. As a student of history, I appreciated that detail.

Very well done, enjoyed every bit. Also like now imagining the Saurians in new light

My favorite story of the jam, a well painted picture of battle, and excellent twists.  Does an excellent job of both embracing the question of the theme and offering a beautiful answer to it

One of the best reads so far for me. A start on a redemptive path for a character executed rather well. The personal stake for the commanding officer was the cake, and the rebuilding the icing.

Probably my favorite one so far, "noble forest protectors" overlaps a bit with wood elves, but the quality of the execution carries the emotions of the story well. The repair squad was a particularly unique and fitting concept to tie it all up.

Cool concept and execution, enjoyed the character journeys, but found it very difficult to follow the story in terms of composition, and that makes it hard for me to really pick out the moment-to-moment nuances even after a couple of passes. Really creative use of theme and setting, hope to see more of that from you!

This really subverted my expectations, I found myself liking a faction I didn't think I'd enjoy in a setting I wouldn't normally have given a second thought.

Loved this one! The ending was especially good.

This one made me feel warm inside. Your execution was really good and made it an actual pleasure to read.
