Description
When the theme was announced I immediately had this idea of someone in hiding being found out, forced to runaway, and ending up in an unknown forest. The music has three distinct sections corresponding to each step in that story.

This jam happened while I was in the process of moving and starting a new job, so I only had 3 days to work on this. As such it is a only piano and not fully orchestrated. I'm very happy with how it turned out despite time constraints, and I will definitely be orchestrating it after the jam.

I used FL studio for the entire composition process because I didn't have a lot of time and wasn't experienced enough with musescore to generate an actual , readable score. I used the FLEX plugin's piano sound library.

Theme:

Runaway
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
The score follows our main character in hiding. They are discovered and forced to run away as they are chased, and lose their pursuers in the forest depicted in the theme art.

Love the tempo increase. Nice and tense piano piece that really matches the runaway theme.

I really like the progression and tension in this. My favourite is the climax in the middle section. Definitely getting some chase feel there.

Thanks!

The fast paced piano really sets this stress and tension mood to me. It sounds good on piano alone but I think that it'll sound great on orchestra so I'm glad to hear that you're going to turn it into that.

I really enjoyed your track! You created a great atmosphere using only one piano, very good work!

For the time constraints you had, you did a beautiful job of being able to tell a story with just one instrument. I love it, great job. I hope I get to hear the finished product one day.

Very creative for such a minimalistic score! Great job!

Even for just piano, it sounds so nice! And since it's supposed to be a soundtrack for a character being forced to run away, the "fast piano" parts really shows that!

I like what you were able to do with just a piano! Created a lot of tension that would go so well underneath a chase level or scene! Also the last section seems like a great outro piece! Well done!

Really nice music! There are some really cool creative chord choices in a lot of places. Even though it’s just piano, it’s oozing with personality. Great work!
