I made a huge mistake and I didn't have the distortion on the lead guitar in the song when exporting the MP3.

This soundtrack is mostly orchestral but there are some songs that have elements of NES and SNES sounds along with some punk and metal influences. I composed the tracks in FL Studio, primarily using free sound fonts and FLEX presets.
This would be the type of game to present it as one thing but turn into something else (ie. Doki Doki Literature Club, Baldis Basics, FNAF Pizzaria Simulator, etc). This game would present itself as a cute childrens point and click adventure game about fish, but in reality would turn out to be about the horrors of war.

An Introduction - This song would be a sort of false introduction to the game.
Main Menu Theme - Once again, this would be a sort of false start to the game, with the cheery upbeat music.
This track features a leitmotif to An Introduction seeing as they are both interconnected with creating a false narrative about what this game really is.
Jeff The Cool Fish Who Wears Sunglasses - This would be the theme for one of the central characters, Jeff The Cool Fish Who Wears Sunglasses. His name is Jeff, he's very cool, he wears sunglasses, and everyone likes him.
The Great Fish War - This track would play during scenes in The Great Fish War. The Great Fish War was a horrific war and hundreds of thousands of fish were killed.
War Is Hell - This track would play during a scene where the player is shown the terrible things that The Great Fish War has caused. Millions slaughtered. Families torn apart. Horrors and tragedies beyond imagination.
This track features a leitmotif to The Great Fish War because they are closely related in themes of The Great Fish War.
Jeff The Cool Fish Who Wears Sunglasses Dies In The Great Fish War - This song would play when Jeff The Cool Fish Who Wears Sunglasses dies in the war. He died a heroic death. He saved the lives of innocent civilians that would have been slaughtered, but at the cost of his own life.
This track features leitmotifs to Jeff The Cool Fish Who Wears Sunglasses, War Is Hell, and The Great Fish War because its themes heavily rely on Jeff The Cool Fish Who Wears Sunglasses and the themes of war being terrible.
Evil Fish - This would be the theme for the main villain of the game, Evil Fish.
This track features leitmotifs to The Great Fish War and War Is Hell because Evil Fish was one of the directs causes of The Great Fish War.
Final Battle Against Evil Fish - This would be the final boss theme where the player would fight against Evil Fish in order to stop The Great Fish War and end the pain and suffering it cause once and for all.
This song features leitmotifs to Evil Fish, The Great Fish War, and War Is Hell because it is the battle against Evil Fish and he was one of the direct causes that started and continued The Great Fish War and the pain and suffering it inflicted onto so many.
The End Of The Great Fish War - After defeating Evil Fish, The Great Fish War ended. The suffering was over. Nobody had to live in fear anymore. It was over.
This song features leitmotifs to The Great Fish War because it symbolizes the end of the pain and suffering that occurred during The Great Fish War.
Credits - The credits theme. Not much explanation needed.
This final track features leitmotifs to every song except for the ones that are only made of leitmotifs.

Hi! I don't really know what to say here, but I had a ton of fun making this! I hope the judges and anyone else who happens to listen enjoys my music.

How does it fit the theme?
I took the idea of the fish in the images and came up with an idea to sort of twist what would usually be associated with this happy looking picture. Putting it inside of my own world, if you will.

An Introduction - Heh... The very first track has already surprised me! I feel the scale and the good overlap of the instruments. However, the piano echoes a little unpleasantly in the right ear. And so - it's already cool!
Main Menu Theme - (Lol, why did the beginning remind me of Take On Me?) I liked the abrupt transition and this "respite" to the drums. (To be honest: I danced to this track)
Jeff The Cool Fish Who Wears Sunglasses - Heh... It sounds like a swing! (I especially like the crazy piano.) Heh... It sounds like Jeff is a really cool fish!
The Great Fish War - GROOVES! (But the lead guitar is a little too loud, heh). The atmosphere of old rock is felt)
War Is Hell - This track scared me... Is this an audio visualization of Thomas Lee's painting?)

Credits - I like that the leitmotives of the entire previous soundtrack are used for the title theme. This creates a general feeling that I have just completed a full game.

Guys... I'm thinking that maybe just perchance Jeff MIGHT be the cool fish who wears sunglasses MAYBE just a hypothesis that could or could not be true perchance potentially who knows y'know???
Oh, a lot of very different genres in this - I admire the versatility. I dig the mix of more orchestral oriented pieces contrasting against some of the more 16-bit era entries that I could imagine hearing on a SNES or Genesis. The Fish War was an unexpected change of pace and tone but it goes hard and slots right in there. Jeff The Cool Fish Who Wears Sunglasses Dies In the Great Fish War may also go on and claim the trophy for the longest track title in the jam, haha.
Well executed as a whole - despite the genres changing, everything felt like it belongs in the same game. Some really neat arrangements throughout, some of which sound like they'd be dope to run through a soundfront from a retro console to hear how they'd come to life on each platform. Great work, best of luck!
