Description
Genres: breakcore, future garage, experimental. A game like Needy Streamer Overload, where you explore the internet and the cyberwaves. Each track represents the feelings and aesthetic of the early internet and the deep web. I composed each track in Ableton Live 11 with mainly Analog Lab V and Serum patches, sometimes with the occasional use of Roland VST's as well.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
It fits the theme due to the fact that the main gameplay loop would revolve around playing a chronically online character, whose world is the internet. Very much like Needy Streamer Overload, you would have to take a Tamagotchi approach to the game while also having to deal with gameplay elements like those from Welcome to the Game. Its basically just a simulator of what it would be like to be a neet and be inside their world, like Lain! :D

the oscillating L/R pan at the start of enter cyberia is sooo yummy for my ears!!! definitely one of my fav submissions in the whole jam so far. i genuinely have no criticisms like, this is just genuinely good DnB that would make a really awesome addition to a cyber/tech focused game

super well made, cool, and unique!

Great Job!

Breakcore/Dnb soundtracks are always a joy to listen to, sounds crisp and beautiful, love it!

Oh DANG some old school techno vibes with them juicy break beats! I can definitely see this being in some rhythm game. Very fun uses of vocal chops as well! Great job! Enter Cyberia is definitely my favorite in this one.

it didn't cross my mind that some genres would be used for the theme for some reason.

You're proving my assumptions VERY wrong, superb work, you made me move from my chair, which is rare ahaha.

Thanks for the submission!

Great to hear a more dance music inspired submission!

Great sound design, very nice drum break chopping.

Definitely the right soundtrack for that early internet and deep web theme you described.

love the classic d&b samples. love the almost celeste synth in TROJAN.

Totally fits the described game! I enjoyed listening throughout, especially as an enjoyer of breakcore and adjacent genres.

Enter Cyberia - had that classic immersive descent from gentleness into heavy rhythm, felt right at home here.  Trojan - very interesting to have alternating sections of gentle then heavy glitch beats.  Internet Jungle - was cool to see an LFO be the core of this, also something with the fast strumming tone about the middle third onward made me remember something in Battle Garegga's OST that i couldn't quite place.  Cyberwave - ethereal like vocal tones starting us off and then it was sneaky that the percussion beats got heavier in the last-third.

Altogether an outstanding and well-coordinated set of pieces.  Thoroughly had fun reviewing this one!

Internet jungle is my absolute favorite, you did an excellent job overall, really fun and original submission !  It's not the style of music I listen to, yet I had a really good time !

This was super cool to listen to, very unique sounds and all sorts of excellent choices to make it even more fun!! Your sound design is nothing short of spectacular, everything felt like it fit into this story so well and i was lost in the vibes from start to finish!

Two words... Love it! Personal favourites are Enter Cyberia & Cyberwave :3 I think this will be on my mind for a while now. Gonna have to resist the urge to try and make something inspired by it or I will end up majorly sidetracked, haha.

Discussed this live on stream, but probably (mostl ikely) my favorite submission to the Jam. Absolute genius of an OST.

thank you so much holy shit LOLOL <33

This is right up my alley, and actually close to my own inspirations for my entry. We even had similar narratives, so I'm officially biased haha. There's a lot to like; your sound's polished and consistent. ENTER CYBERIA's breaks feel so good, the sound design of TROJAN's great, INTERNET JUNGLE's on point with its theme, and that bass on CYBERWAVE. Solid work all around, loved it!

Developer

thank you so much! :D im totally biased too - i love your submission LOLOL i really appreciate the feedback <33

oh hell yes, this is my jam!

ENTER CYBERIA has a nice buildup into an excellent second half. Very nice!

TROJAN ups the intensity. The first part is something, alright. But then the transition, and the part that comes after it, good stuff! Not completely sold on it, but good nonetheless.

INTERNET JUNGLE awesome track.

CYBERWAVE, quite different from the others. Really nice combination of the music and the effects.

Tracks 1 and 3 were my favourite. Loved them a lot :D Great job!
