Description
I used MuseScore and Logic Pro (using the Spitfire Audio LABS and Rare Flutes plugins) in composing this piece.
My personal background greatly influenced how I approached this theme. As a flute player who grew up in Hong Kong, both my musical and cultural background play a significant role in how I envisioned the music to sound for a game with this theme. Due to my primary instrument being the flute, I find that I frequently like to incorporate the flute in some form (appropriate to the tone and theme of the piece) in many of my compositions, and given my Chinese heritage, dragons definitely have a strong association with East Asian culture for me. I have also recently played a lot of the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, which also feature dragons prominently in their storylines and feature East Asian-influenced music and instrumentation. This led me to lean heavily on the pentatonic scale when composing this piece, as well as incorporating instruments such as the Chinese dizi flute, ocarina and mandolin.

Very fitting of the theme! Love the instrumentation. That and the pentatonic melody really connect this to the theme.
I can really see the theme connection in here! Can totally picture a temple and whatnot while walking around with the flute playing

Very nice! Woodwinds are a little loud imo, but the composition and melody sounds very peaceful and relaxing

If it makes you feel better, I also forgot to check my mixing until after the submitting them and I've never felt so aaaaagh. No wonder the jam is called "Crunchtime"
