Aaah, gorgeous, absolutely love this, the melodies, the composition, all of it. I don't even want to say more, I don't believe it's needed. :)

Description
Orchestral Soundtrack for a JRPG story game.
Message from the artist
We had a fun time creating this and almost killed our engineer due to extreme caffeine consumption, but he'll pull through. Also please view our project page we put a lot of work into it. https://tanender.itch.io/asure-sky
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
The theme of the jam led our team to create a fantasy inspired OST. The dragon in the picture appears to be based off the Ryu dragon of east Asian and Japanese culture. This inspired the whimsical, Ghibli-esque style of the soundtrack.

I love how orchestral you were able to make the soundtrack - as a trumpet player in orchestra, it kind of immediately sells me on the OST lol.
I love the Trumpet staccatos in the first track haha. The track is super dramatic and very overture-y, which I always appreciate.
The town theme is so endearing it hurts. Giving the melody to the xylophone is a very fun idea, which to me also solidifies the modern-orchestral sound even more.
Ahhh the third track is exactly what you want for the determined-go-getter theme : the tresillo driving rhythm, the melody floating on top - this is some fantastic contemporary music. Also very overture-like.
The fourth track is very pretty, and the melody lives up to what it's described as in the notes that you wrote - sweet, and also very heartfelt. The ending piano chords are a very pretty way to dial back from the big orchestra melody from a moment before.
Ooooh the credits are so warm and nostalgic it makes me want to lie on my bed and reminisce about my childhood. I would love to hear an extended version of this played live....
Your use of piano and orchestra is so pretty, and also smart - the piano by itself can embody so much, and the orchestra really builds upon it to enhance and do what it can't on it's own.
Overall, fantastic entry. Awesome job!
I love this post. Thank you for going over each song and talking about why you appreciate it. I like that you brought up the little stuff like how we lead the end of the 4th track into the credits. Also, I've always been worried about how our brass plugins sound, but knowing a trumpet player's approval makes me feel much better about it. Thanks again for listening!!! (ps. we may or may not be releasing a completely extended version of the OST at some point soon)
Castle in the Sky is really cool epic theme, totally see them flying :D Nice work.
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL PLSSSS!! Very Ghibli-like and cute but fitting to the theme, love all the melodies and the compositions!! it shows that it was a team and you did very well.
I loved Quiet cloud village a whooole lot!
Stunning introductory track. The ending track needs a little more variation, but understandable in the amount of time that was given.
Amazing Composition. Send my regards to the Engineer, staying up was worth it!
Every song is really great, but my favorite is the last one.
YEAAAHHH THIS IS GREAT! I loved the Credits Theme so much, I'm a sucker for beautifully composed solo piano pieces. They're all arranged so well and I'm impressed by the Azure Sky art/theme you put together. It felt like a well-structured soundtrack too with loads of variety - a really good job all-round!
Awesome soundtrack ! Lots of great variety, the compositions and the instrumentations are top notch (the project's page is very pleasing to the eye also). I would have liked to point out a single track that I liked more than the others, however the quality is so consistent that I honestly wouldn't know which one to pick. Excellent job (although I wouldn't expect any less from fellow Studio One users after all) !
did you guys have the same 48 hours i had??!?! holy moly this is gorgeous
Really great tracks! I was really drawn to that super subtle little brush perc in the second track. Overall great cinematic vibes.
I really like the variety of tracks and your use of the inspiration! Sounds awesome!
Awesome job guys. All the songs were such high quality, it is quite insane. The string and the brass especially sounds great. The melodies are quite memorable and how each sections just keeps evolving is so meticulously done. Great job.
Main Menu - huge! Very grand and pretty.
Quiet Cloud Village - Very effective early town theme kinda vibe.
Castle in the Sky - this track perfectly matches the name. Sounds soaring and magnificent. My favorite one!
The White Dragon's Lullaby - beautiful! I love the calm ending.
Credits - the motif from the main menu returns but more relaxed! A fitting ending.
Amazing work!
