Description
Three tracks for our imaginary game "Snow White: Dwarf Hunter", one of them representing the princess, one of them representing the dwarfs and one of them showing what happens when the two worlds collide.

We used Sibelius 6 to write scores, performed them live and used Ableton Lite for recording and mixing.

Artist comment:
These tracks are part of the original soundtrack to our imaginary game "Snow White: Dwarf Hunter". Choose if you want to play as the titular princess and hunt down some bearded creatures or if you want to try to evade her bloodthirst by playing as a gang of dwarfs.

This is a cooperation between my girlfriend and me. We had a lot of fun coming up with a concept for this jam and recording all the parts. Some of the recordings may have ended up a little sloppy, but we hope you enjoy our weird little collection of songs anyway.

Theme:

Two Worlds
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
A contrast between the royal world of the princess and the rocky world of the dwarfs. Also, a fairy tale viewed from a different perspective. Also, dwarfs fall off the bridge when shot (see cover image).

This was really fun to listen to. I love the heavy focus on vocals and the live performance, it works so well and sets it apart from a lot of the entries. Love the contrast between the dwarves and snow white as well, great thematically

Interesting and unique take on the theme, nice job!

Cool take on the theme with this one! Particularly enjoyed Snow White’s theme and then the fusion of the two.

Oooh, the fact that it's recorded live (with vocalizations too!) is very cool and rare to see in jams like this!

Very entertaining soundtrack ! Mixing the two songs in the third was a great idea !

Beautiful composition and a creative idea!  I'm deffo playing as the princess! Might just be me but I felt the hey-ho was just a tiiiiny touch too loud (it probably is just me haha).

Thank you! Pretty sure it's not just you, had a similar thought when I re-listened to the tracks a few days after submission. Oh well, I guess that's why you should usually wait a day and then re-listen to the mix.

I liked the idea of using the voices. I would like to see how it would work in game

I really enjoyed your soundtracks / vocaltracks :) Good job!

Love the a cappella performance and the enthusiasm! The concept is really cool too, nice job!

Those tracks are so cool! You can really hear the effort you put into the tracks! Both the vocals and the music fit really well together. Amazing entry!

This is amazing! :D Is everything acoustically recorded?

Developer

Thank you! We used a little digital post-processing, of course, and some instruments are somewhat cheated (brass is an e-piano and bass is a pitched-down guitar), but other than that it's pretty much all acoustically recorded, yup.

Very creative! Dwarf's "hey ho" is a lot of fun. Please talk to princess so she doesn't kill them :D

Thank you! And believe me, we tried to reason with her, but she's just completely insane!

Fantastic job! Reminds me Neverhood OST.
Final track with colliding music sounds amazing!
