Description
An orchestral soundtrack fit for a JRPG style game.

The first track represents represents the fae woods, an untouched pocket of the wilderness, a place of idle mischief and good humour.

The second track represents the mortal beings, who bring their iron and fire tools to claim the woods as their own, with no care for the people that call it home.

Theme:

Two Worlds
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
It is both the merging of two worlds - the world of the fae, and the world of mortals, but is also a paradise beign corrupted into a site of horrors (my interpretation of the gif).

Powerful brass in that second track! Love it.

Fae Woods: The use of the tambourine and the use of the flue gives this a madrigal-style feeling that adds to the imagery of the magical and fantastical woods you describe.

March of the Mortals: I like the heavy trombones you used, especially since they emphasize the beat shift in your time signature usage. I think that the juxtaposition of the triumphant brass and the quiet strings shows both the destruction humans wreak and the vulnerability humans cower beneath when facing an unexpected force from within the forest. Thank you for sharing!

Very melodic! The march is very powerful. Neat work!

The second song was pretty neat, I especially enjoyed the rhythmic motif in there. I thought the first song sounded a bit too thumping for trying to represent a fae world, I think trying to look for a more mellow piano sound and starting out a bit more quietly would help to convey that feeling.

I really enjoyed this music. It was well thought out and well orchestrated. Thank you for your work!

Nice mixing, nice melody, the brass feels a bit overwhelming during some bits, the overall mix may benefit from toning it down just a tad. But overall it's very nice entry! :)

Enjoyed these a lot, especially the playfulness of the first track. Definitely can imagine dancing wood sprites and fey creatures frolicking in the woods.

One suggestion I have is to adjust the velocities of your piano and brass notes more individually, or even just randomize them. It would help shape the lines, add realism, and have them feel less heavy/same-y.

Love the compositional ideas you had, and good instrument choices for each section. Good stuff!

Thank you! Yes, I agree about the piano+brass, usually I would but they got sacrificed in the shorter jam time!
