How many tracks did you submit?
3

Explain your hypothetical game concept & how you interpreted the theme!
I decided to split the journey in a 3-part ost, where the first represents the beginning of the hero's journey. The second is a battle theme (in my head it fits with turn-based combat) and the third track is their tragic end as every hero dies a hero's death. So the game behind that would also have a similarly tragic end which could contrast the upbeat first track and bouncy nature of the second.

What genre is your soundtrack?
classical duet, jazz, film music

Anything else you'd like to add?
I put a motif into the individual tracks where the hero is either represented by the flute or bassoon. These instruments generally represent their current mood or place on their journey. For example in the first track, the melody doesn't have a clear direction yet, since they're only at the start of their journey. That's also, why it's in 7/4 time and uses a bit of the whole tone scale. The idea of odd time signatures comes back in the last track aswell with a few bars of 5/4 as they take a moment to reflect on their life. There's many more of these ideas that went into this too but this block of text is getting long enough as is :))

Awesome stuff! I really liked the second, upbeat jazz tune. In my mind these are great compositions, that deserve higher production values! I assume this was Musescore playback?

Would be awesome to hear a version where you've programmed this into a DAW with some nicer VST's etc. Keen to hear what you do next ;)

Good work! I especially like the “singing” flute :>

I really appreciate how much artistic thought you put into this small soundtrack! Playing with odd time signatures and using instruments to represent characters is a smart move and sets this soundtrack apart from others. I enjoyed  the instrumentation choice! I presume some of this was recorded live, because it sure sounds like it and I appreciate that.

I did notice some distortion/clipping, especially with the flute, but a bit more  time to mix would fix that pretty easily.

Very creative use of the theme!
