Explain your hypothetical game concept & how you interpreted the theme!
I interpreted the theme as a hero on a journey through the unknown. In this case it is through a big maze. I am calling the imaginary game "Dead End."

Most areas in the maze end up being dead ends, making it extremely frustrating and difficult to find the right path, and easier for the Nameless, a race of eldritch monsters, to hunt you down.

What genre is your soundtrack?
Experimental electronic with some techno/electro influence half way through.

Anything else you'd like to add?
The main bass line pluck you hear in the beginning and throughout the rest of the piece uses the G whole tone scale. Every other track is built around or in complimentary fashion to that.

Loved the foley percussion, very unsettling. Perhaps a little more variation on them, through EQ panning, or just volume could prevent them from feeling overused?

Loved the feel change when the four on the floor comes in, definitely hypes the intensity and would suit a panicked chase!

I see what you mean, thanks for the feedback!

I love the sound choice and spookiness!!

thank you!

The rattle and crunch was a cool creepy effect suggesting there are spooky skeletons chasing you, emphasized with the tempo change and introduction of the synths/drum beat. Cool song that tells a story, though one thing I'll comment on is that I would've preferred it if the bass in the beginning had a slower, less intense attack (maybe even some delay)... after all, you're trying to establish an ominous, creepy ambience (mind you, the bass as it is works well in the more uptempo section).

Developer

hey that’s actually a really good suggestion, thanks for the feedback!

This is truly the piece for a halloween game. The player seeks an exit as the Nameless seek them. Your use of crumpling paper and pencils makes me think of it as some horrific drywall canvas, orchestrated by something beyond. 👻

drywall canvas, that’s a good way to put it! Thanks!

Cool sound design on this! I do think some of the fx could be lower in the mix, but I love the approach you took.

thanks for the feedback! I agree

Synthesizers + rustling bags + table tapping + schizophrenia pills = love.

I like the experimentation and the rhythm... some cool synth and BUM

Good work!

Thanks! You understand what I was going for well

hi cool song why so many skeleton noises and so loud too? I think it might've been better without the skeleton/coin rattling sound.

Hi there! Thanks for listening. Those sounds were used to give extra atmosphere to the track. They are mostly paper and crumpling samples. I was going for emulating electricity and old office objects being scattered throughout the maze that still work. And musically I wanted to do something else for the percussion instead of always doing regular drum sounds every time
