pretty fun game, sadly can't give it that high of a rating because it breaks jam rules 😅

Thanks! Yeah I didn’t realise that, makes me very sad :(

Challenging platformer! I included it in my Palette Jam 2 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

ohh thanks!

Good idea and the controls feel good. It could use a wider camera as some jumps were blind and it feels unfair. I would have loved some checkpoints as well. Overall a great entry IMO.

I had a lot of fun ! The mouvement of the ball feels so good, it goes exactly where I want it to go even with the bouncing, it just feels right. Well done really nice game !

My first game tried for this game jam: The bar is high! If all the games are of this ilk, I have no chance with my project! Your game is very well designed, easy to learn, but complex in the design of the levels. I like its accessibility, the ability to quickly figure out what to do, the graphic effects, music and sound effects. The start time is an excellent addition, because it allows you to regain your spirits and better embark on the challenge. Highly addictive, especially since the game resumes immediately, and the player's inner voice repeats each time (at least mine): "Come on, just one more time. This is the last part ...". Well done for this very well polished result, especially when you can see how little time you spent there! After that, the 8-color rule may not be applicable here, no idea: I let the author of the jam estimate that. From my point of view as a player, I had a great time ^ _ ^

thanks for the awesome feedback! I accidentally used 9 colour from the pallete instead of 8. I really hope this can be excused because it’s just some shading.

Pretty good game! I enjoy the mechanic of platforms falling down as you go on them, it adds a nice twist to platforming.

The spikes are currently too difficult to see, I didn't even know what killed me until my next run since it blended perfectly into the background. There's also some inconsistency with the respawn behavior of the player. When you die to a blue block you just teleport to the spawnpoint but when you fall down there's also a countdown. The game also really needs some checkpoints, it feels really bad to have to restart from the beginning after you make some progress and can lead to many people rage quitting.

(edit) Just noticed but it also appears your game breaks the jam rules by using colors outside of the given palette

thanks for the feedback! I didn’t use colours outside the given pallete, but instead accidentally used 9 colours. I guess this game’s going down then :(
