this was fun to play with my friends, could see it being a couch competitive game amongst my friend group if it got some more polish!

This is a cool concept (I love 1v1 couch games). and a game that could cause couples issues :D

I like the low-poly art style and the simplicity of the controls.

What's a bit missing for me is the interaction between the two players (there's no urgency to react to what the other player is doing). One possible way to address is to put a timer on garbage when it gets lobbed over; if it does not get picked up before the timer expires it becomes immovable (or something like that).

Regardless of that, well done on a cool prototype!

Thank you for your feedback! We're delighted you like the concept, especially because you have a love for 1v1 couch games. It's true that activities like this can be exciting as well as a source of "friendly" rivalry amongst couples! :P

We appreciate your recognition for the low-poly art style, we received those models from Kenny on itch.io the link is on the Game Guide and we are also pleased that you enjoy the simple controls. It's fantastic to hear that you like them.

We completely understand your viewpoint about player interaction. It's funny since my partner sometimes (technically mostly, I just do not want to suck at this game xD) beats me in Tidy Turf, despite the fact that I developed the game! We will definitely think about implementing more urgency and creative reactions between players. Your notion of a timer on the thrown garbage is intriguing, and we'll look into it further as we work on the game. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will work hard to make Tidy Turf a more engaging and competitive experience.

Thank you for your feedback and encouragement once more. With this, it will help us fine-tune and improve Tidy Turf. Keep an eye out for developments, and may the tidiest turf win! :P

Nice I really like the concept, I couldnt try multiplayer so I just had to solo it and imagine I had a friend next to me :') Maybe a rudamentary AI to play against if you're solo?
I agree with the game over screen, it would be fun to see your stinky opponent getting yeeted into space when you win. Hope you manage to get the tools in! They seem like fun :) Great stuff! Love the art

Thank you so much for your input! We're pleased to hear you enjoyed our game's concept, even in solo mode. Your suggestion to include a basic AI opponent is a great idea, and we're thinking about implementing it as a fun project for future updates. It will certainly improve the solo experience and make it more engaging.

We really appreciate the enthusiasm for the game over screen concept! It sounds like a lot of fun to watch your opponent get yeeted into space after you win, and we're determined to make it happen. We have some great plans and ideas for putting it into action, so stay tuned! @0V3RDR1V3 (stay tuned for the YEET xD)

We're glad you enjoy the game as much as we do. We're always looking for ways to improve and improve the game, and your feedback is vital in that regard. Thank you for playing Tidy Turf; we are looking forward to implementing more exciting developments in the future.

The map looks quite good.It seems you ran out of time or something to implement all your features,or maybe i just didnt see any of the cool gear talked about on the front page.It would of been cool to have a win screen to see the consequences of being the stinky loser also lol!

Developer

Thank you so much for taking the time to play and provide feedback on our game, Tidy Turf!

We're really glad you liked the map design.

You're absolutely right, the time constraints of the jam did limit our ability to fully implement all the features we had planned.

We apologize for any confusion about the gear mentioned on the front page – due to the time crunch, we couldn't showcase them all effectively, but will include them with our next update.

Your suggestion about having a win screen and consequences for being the "stinky loser" is fantastic!

We'll definitely take that into consideration for our future updates.

Once again, thank you for playing and for your thoughtful input!
