Summarise your game!
Space Dogs is a 2D platformer puzzle game where players control both an alien and various dogs with unique abilities. Players must strategically switch between characters and use their distinct abilities to overcome environmental challenges and dig their way through destructible terrain.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The dogs have abilities to destroy enemies and diggable terrains. One dog shoots lasers and one explodes

Really nice visuals, i especially liked the particles on the dogs feet. and the digging animation was perfect. I thought the digging mechanic needed to be a bit more powerful tho. It takes a long time to dig, and the first place i found to dig seemed to go nowhere. Gotta guide your player to an easy place to use new mechanics! Looks like a lotta work went into this tho! Nice job!

Thanks for playing.  The collision method for the tilemaps needs a lot of work because the collisions aren't always being detected for some reason.  I agree with the digging needing to be more powerful. The plan was to have different dogs that had a stronger dig and abilities to get through different materials.  That just didn't happen.  Thanks for the advice on teaching a player to use mechanics.

I very liked the visuals. The gameplay was very confusing to me. You're ghost after 2 min of random wandering you meet weird dogs which can dig ground?? I feel like I'm missing something very important, game isn't very clear what are you supposed to do. I can destroy random ground tiles, and I cannot find anything in them. Then I switched to another dog just to get lost in the dark, it was very very confusing.

Try defining clear goals, that's very important for games , especially for puzzle games where you know what is the goal but the real problem is the reaching it, not finding it.

Thanks for playing.  The "ghost" is an alien that crashed on earth.  It can't interact with anything on the planet or go through materials, but it can befriend dogs that can.  The idea was to have the dogs help the ghost search for materials to help fix the spaceship, and some of those materials would be in puzzle rooms.  That part of gameplay just didn't make it in unfortunately.

This is a cool idea! I had a little trouble figuring out how to find the dogs at first, but it was fun digging through the terrain and their abilities were cool. Good job!
