Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
You play as an artist fighting creative roadblocks such as procrastination and artists block, you draw shapes with the mouse to spawn projectiles that correlate to the shapes. These projectiles become better drawn more effective versions of themselves the more you draw them to demonstrate your artistic improvement. You encounter multiple types of obstacles in the pursuit of perfecting your craft.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
When brainstorming we really wanted to do a "you are the weapon" that was a bit untraditional, the saying of the pen is mightier than the sword got the gears turning and we wanted to make a pen that truly felt mightier than a sword.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
I'm pretty proud of the shape detection as I hate math it was a massive undertaking, the formulas are very picky and need improvement and can frequently misrepresent what you mean to draw until you kind of get what they are looking for, at which point the game feels MUCH more fluid so to the judges, I challenge you to get to the boss (which spawns at wave 6, roughly 7 minutes of gameplay if you don't die) Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to refine the UI or create visual feedback for things like when the projectiles level up which I feel is my biggest regret of the project.

This game is really cool. I love the mechanic of your spells getting upgraded the more you use them. I could see myself playing this a lot once you work out the shape detection stuff. Overall it's very cool and fun to play tho!

This is a super unique game idea. I like it a lot. But the shape detection did get very frustrating at times. I also struggled to understand what the expectation was for the writers block at first but it makes sense after some trial and error.

I think this would work really well with a touch screen instead of a mouse!

I agree that shape detection is a bit frustrating. That's my only real complaint

Fun game with unique gameplay! With the changes to shape detection I'd play this for a long time.
Really like the idea that the more shapes you draw the better the drawings on the screen become.

Thank you!! Yeah I definitely realized how difficult it is to get things to register the way you want once I had friends test. When programming it I got so used to exactly what it was looking for it became second nature haha. Glad you enjoyed it, it means a lot!
