Thank you so much for such a detailed and well-versed review!

Thank you for your input! I agree with your comment, all these limitations actually came as a result of us running out of time and we're fixing them now

Very interesting game, visuals are super immersive and music is soothing and eerie at the same time, quite voidy feel to it

My only problem was constantly getting stuck in clip brushes, that kinda messed with the atmosphere

Anyway very intriguing entry, great job!

I like the triangle shape graphics; Fun mechanic of the enemies sucking out my oxygen

Very nice submission, great job!

A very smart puzzle, we enjoyed it a lot!

the style suits the theme very well and I loved the soundtrack

If you add more levels like these we'd love to come back to play them, great job!

very fun tower defense game with solid progression, I enjoyed my playthrough

soundtrack feels quite unique too

good job, congrats!

VERY satisfying to throw all the stuff down the hole, great work! Visuals and sounds are amazing, everything feels very polished

Other have mentioned already that the ability to bring everything to the hole in advance kinda kills all the challenge, but otherwise this is a super cool game!

Great submission, congrats!

Wow the difficulty ramped up spontaneosly :D

Amazing 3D models and great style overall, great submission!

Amazing game, loads of conent

I love sprites and animations and all the VFX

Powerups were pretty fun to play with and there's even some lore and dialogs

Super impressive to have all of this done in a week, great job!

the FOV changing all the time felt weird, but you can get used to it and then the game itself is quite fun

took me some time to get all the way up

loved the sounds and the design of the platforms

great submission, congrats!

I got stuck at the end with no money, no bullets, and no ability to switch weapon back to the ones I had before that had some ammo :(
Otherwise the game itself is very fun, and the reload sound is hilarious

Great job!

Great game, I especially liked the minimalistic visual style with 3 colors and character sprites and animations

I'll come back to see what the shop has in store :)

Great submission!

This was pretty challenging for me, but I absolutely love the concept, very fun and unique

Also character animation looks nice, the only thing I missed was the fullscreen option as it's a bit hard to aim the jumps in the tiny window

Great job!

(1 edit)

Wow this looks very polished, very good looking sprites and animations, and the game itself is fun to play and pretty interesting

Maybe add some coyote time as I kept falling off the platforms, and space for jump as others were saying

Overall super impressive game, great job & congrats!

Also special points for the camera breaking bat

The puzzles are very well designed, had to think some time on #4

The dark closing in looks very nice

Maybe the movement or controls could use some tweaking, at least make the boxes also slide on the floor same as the player character does

Overall nice game, I've had fun, great job!

I liked the double jump mechanic, and the ability to dash too

overall looks pretty complete, just needs some sounds and it's already a solid game

I'd definitely agree with others that it would benefit from some coyote time, especially given that you only have to slip once and the game is over

Great job!

Very cool theme implementation, I loved the hand drawings of the characters and some map objects

I like that there's already 3 different moves the player has, would be cool to add some synergies between them e.g. if you shoot at the wall it changes form or something

Overall great job, congrats!

Amazing artstyle, captivating soundtrack

Quite a lot of content such as dialogue lines and I loved the twist with adding jump to pacman

Great submission, congrats!

I believe you can still add some screenshots at this point, I think we're allowed to modify the game page, just no reuploads of the game itself

Great take on the theme and very solid implementation, visuals are tight, beautiful cover logo and epic soundtrack

The controls were giving me a hard time sometimes, and also the hitboxes on those spikes are pretty unforgiving, no big deal though

I think it would be nice to have to complete the same level with different contracts, I think now each level is specific to a certain contract?

Overall very impressive submission, great job!

Very well executed, great music and synced up with the gameplay too!

The idea is super original and fits the theme very well

I think it would be great to have some progression over the time, like other more complex types of stuff flying at you

Also I was trying to interact with the flying things because there was an "Interact" key mapped in the controls but I don't think that was an option :)

Overall very cool and atmospheric entry, 10 flying toilets out of 10!

It took me so much time to figure out I was supposed to press X to start the game :D

But afterwards everything went smoothly, love the beats and the style is very fitting.

The rainbow VFX and the startup logo/menu shaders look incredible

Great submission!

Just kidding, I completed the game, love the puzzles and the art style, and the soundtrack is pretty catchy

I also had the little guy stuck in the tunnel problem

Wait let me rephrase this

I also encountered the bug in the very first location that other people were talking about

Overall great submission, congrats!

This game looks fun, I wish I had friends so that I could play it

Amazing concept, at first I thought this was just another take on the good old floor inversion mechanic, but combining it with level-modifying grenades has turned it into a new game completely!

The implementation is also very solid, feels like a complete game. Nice style and character animation. Special points for the playable menu :D

Great submission!

Thank you for such a detailed review, we'll take everything you said into consideration if we continue working on this

- on HP bars I agree that there should definitely be some kind of representation of the remaining HP, especially when it's low

- regarding the speed scale, I also agree that it feels too idle between the opportunities to add modules, something has to be done about that

- SFX in general are obviously lacking at the moment, luckily this isn't hard to fix

- as for the shop, at the moment it costs 5 crystals up front to open the shop menu, and then the modules themselves are free. This was a cheap way for us to save some development time. So the shop isn't available when you're below 5 crystals.

- the bar at the top left is actually an XP bar, not the best font choice on our part :D

The cat is super adorable, I loved the graphics and SFX/soundtrack, I wish the game was longer!

Great submission, congrats!

Wow, very atmospheric and immersive (pun intended)

The graphics and SFX are top notch, amazing game!

Cool game, I like the gun fire animation and the controls are very responsive

It feels almost like a complete game, I think it just needs a bit more variety

Great submission!

Very atmospheric and immersive game, I loved SFX and music

It was a bit hard to figure out the main goal and the controls are somewhat clunky, but this doesn't take anything away from the overall feeling

Nice entry

Amazing level of polish for a 1 week jam game! Very fun to play, the stamping mechanic is super satisfying

The theme is very well implemented and also bonus points for hilarious jokes

Great job!

Great idea and solid implementation, graphics look very polished and the game is already playable if a bit short

Also hey man I remember you from the Wowie 3 jam :D nice to see you again, great submission!

Nice game, I like the SFX and the soundtrack

the core mechanics are pretty addictive and I've had fun with it but I think the controls could have been a bit more polished, maybe at least add WASD keys

Good job!

The idea is kinda cool, I think you can turn this into a complete game with some polish

I liked the 3D model of the station and different vessels (what does the "satellite" do on the 3 key?)

Very atmospheric submission, good job!

The final cinder bricks were killing me

Loved the visuals, especially the character animation

Overall the game looks very complete, maybe the only thing missing is the SFX

Great submission, congrats!

Visuals are great, had to spend some time getting used to the controls but still had a lot of fun.

Black hole physics is pretty sick and also special points for the menu :D

Great job, congrats!

Took me some time to figure out I was supposed to press tab in the beginning, but afterwards I was very impressed by the graphics, the underwater world looks beautiful and the chill exploring/picture taking vibe suits it very well

I think if you had some screenshots on the submission page I would have discovered your game way earler :D

Great job

I like this game, it kinda has the same approach that we used for our game

The ship design is great and I like that you have separate controls for the guns and the laser

I'm having really hard time trying to beat "the horde" though, maybe I'm just bad :D

Great job!

Thank you so much for your review! Our plan for the stationary guns was to have other modules that would modify and redirect projectiles, but we ran out of time before we added those

As for enemies spawning inside the platform, this was not supposed to happen, I think we have a bug somewhere :D

Thank you for playing and I'm still trying to improve my best temp in your game

This is great, feels very polished! Great interpretation of the theme, hilarious references ("you are freed"), beautiful cover art, amazing glitch effects, banger soundtrack

Having to hold the attack button seems a little redundant, I think it might as well just fire continiously?

I think this game can be expanded easily, especially with the programming/computer topic being basically an unlimited supply of ideas for levels and enemies, e.g. a "video memory" level or "stacks" and "arrays" of enemies.

The difficulty ramps up fairly quickly, I'm barely reaching temp 80 for now but I'll definitely be playing more

Overall great job, love this entry!
