  • Buttersnail! The art is incredibly cute and fitting. I did find that altho obviously sliding on butter, the controls where a tad too slidy which made navigating around certain parts of the map a tad frustrating. With some quality-of-life improvements this game could become a real gem!
  • This game's super fun and feature rich for such a short amount of time, well done! I wish the theme was a *tad* more prevalent in the game, but the game is super charming and I love the art. Well done you guys!

First time giving feedback. The characters and snail are cute and I enjoyed playing. Didn't encounter any bugs or crashes even when entering the bakery, but i did find it difficult to get into the narrow alleys as i kept sliding bouncing of the walls a lot.

Also spent a long time searching for the laundromat but couldn't find it, the guy said it was to the right and after exploring everywhere on the map for it, I happened to bump into the chef and he took it. Only just now realising it mighta just been spelling error and due to me forgetting about the long task list until now XD

Oh and I didn't realise I there was anything up those stairs until the very end since I thought it led back up to the tutorial area and platforming was a bit hard to see with the camera angle.

Had fun playing the game, the butter mechanic was great!

Butter snail was adorable and I loved spreading my butter into every nook and cranny XD Left me wanting to play more. Great game!!

Love the feedback, glad you enjoyed it!

I’m surprised to hear you didn’t crash on entering the bakery. It does make me question whether or I understand that crash… and I was hoping to make the laundromat more identifiable, it’s supposed to be the building to the right and up the alleyway from the villager that says “Laundromat’s to the right!”. There you pick up the basket and return it to the baker. Anyhow, yeah, those stairs are a bit too hidden, I had a playtest also not find it until the end.

And yeah, Buttersnail is adorable

This was such a fun experience! The concept, the art, the lively music! It reminded me of Paper Mario with the 3D/2D elements.

It would have been nice to see the completed tasks checked off / scratched out so the player knows what's been done (aside from the 1/10 tracker). I found the little tomato before talking to (I think?) the farmer. Once I dropped them off, the farmer didn't acknowledge it, but the task was gone with 1/10 showing. As a player, it left me a little puzzled. But you all should be super proud of this game; great work!

Glad you enjoyed it! I was inspired by the look of games like TOEM and Here Comes Niko!  which guided my input on the art design, and shout outs to the artists of my team who all did a wonderful job realizing something so charming in such a short period of time.

I definitely wanted to have more user feedback for the tasks, pickup limit, enhancing the overall feeling of movement and so many more tweaks. It didn't help that I added the UI for tasks, wrote all the code for stringing the levels together, and creating the bakery scene all in the last 24 hours lol. It was stressful gluing the project together in the last few hours it definitely taught me to be even stricter in scope... Very hoppy to receive the feedback, and I'm glad you got enjoyment out of it!

Even with two weeks, it was a mad scramble to the end! We had a million things we wanted to do and just couldn't. Take my feedback as someone who appreciated the game and hopes to see you keep going. Cheers ~

To note: Entering the bakery results in a crash, whoops. Luckily I accidentally left the dev test button to reach that scene in the main menu. If you complete all the tasks and crash, restart the game and press the "House" button to go to the ending sequence.

Controls are:
Arrow keys/WASD to move

Space advances dialogue

Tab to expand task list
